The invention proposes a high-voltage direct current cut-off device, comprising: in series, a cut-off device and a current limiter; an accumulation line in parallel with the current limiter, an oscillating circuit, in parallel with the cut-off apparatus, comprising an oscillation control switch and having an inductance wherein the accumulation line includes at least two accumulation capacitors, and in that the oscillation line extends from a branch connection point of the accumulation line situated between the two accumulation capacitors, determining a secondary segment of the accumulation line connected to the main conduction line between the current limiter and the main cut-off apparatus so as to form part of the oscillating circuit.

High-voltage DC cut-off device

A current-breaking device for high-voltage direct current includes a main conduction-line and a secondary conduction-line connected in parallel between its terminals. The main conduction-line comprises a first controlled-switch and a circuit connected in series. The circuit comprises a first current-limiter and a first capacitor connected in parallel. The secondary conduction-line comprises a second controlled-switch. These conduction lines cooperate to form an oscillating circuit that oscillates with an amplitude that is at least equal to limiting current passing through the current limiter.

The present invention provides medium- or high-voltage equipment including a leaktight enclosure in which there are located electrical components and a gas mixture for providing electrical insulation and/or for extinguishing electric arcs that are likely to occur in said enclosure, the gas mixture comprising heptafluoroisobutyronitrile, carbon dioxide, and oxygen in small quantities. Electrical components covered in a solid dielectric layer of varying thickness are located inside said leaktight enclosure of the equipment of the invention.

An insulating tube () located between the main contacts () and the arcing contacts () of an interrupting chamber () of a high-voltage or medium-voltage circuit-breaker makes it possible to modify the distribution of the equipotential lines (V) during breaking. Thus, it is possible to reduce the electric field on the contacts, and thus to improve the breaking and the dielectric strength in the open position. The insulating tube () can also serve for transmitting movement between the contacts () for triggering the circuit-breaker.

Interrupting chamber with a field distributor cylinder for high-voltage or medium-voltage circuit breakers

This invention relates to a circuit breaker () for high or medium voltages, of the type having a drive bar () coupled to a drive member, and a circuit-breaking chamber () facing it and having two contacts (), each contact () including a main contact (respectively) and an arcing contact (respectively), with one of the two contacts () being fixed to a blast or extinguishing nozzle (). According to the invention, the second contact () and the drive bar () are joined together by coupling means () in such a way that they move together in translation in the same direction, the transmission means () being disposed on the side () of the chamber () that is adjacent to the drive bar (), and are adapted to transmit the motion of the driven second contact () to the first contact ().

Circuit breaker with a double acting circuit-breaking chamber and an inverted structure

In order to reduce the breaking energy of a high-voltage or medium-voltage circuit-breaker, the interrupting chamber () contains two contacts () mounted to move in opposite directions, actuated via a single device (). The two contacts () are driven in opposite directions by a cylindrical cam () having slots () that co-operate with fixed rods (), each of which is connected to a respective one of the contacts (): the profiles of the slots () make it possible to manage the speed and the amplitude of the movement of the second contact () relative to the main contact () without requiring any complex design.

Actuating the oppositely-moving contacts of an interrupting chamber by a cylindrical cam

In order to reduce the breaking energy of a high-voltage or medium-voltage circuit-breaker, the interrupting chamber () contains two contacts () mounted to move in opposite directions, and actuated via a single device (). The two contacts () are surrounded by an insulating casing () of tubular shape, coupled in fixed manner to the main contact (). The contacts () are actuated by a device having a lever () in which each lever arm is coupled to a link, one of the links () being secured to the insulating casing () and the other link () being secured to the second contact (). The guiding of the drive tube () on the main contacts () makes it possible to improve breaking by keeping clean gas between said main contacts.
