The present invention relates to a spatial arrangement for optimizing the broadcasting of a sound signal and thus replacing the conventional stereo systems. For this purpose, the spatial arrangement is capable of broadcasting a spatialized sound signal, the spatialized sound signal comprising N mutually distinct audio signals, N being an integer strictly greater than 3, and the spatial arrangement comprising a set of N sound broadcasting devices predominantly distributed over the entire width of a scene. Each sound broadcasting device receives an audio signal of which it will amplify and broadcast the transmitted sound. In particular, each sound broadcasting device is specifically capable of reproducing and preserving the characteristics of the sound transmitted by the audio signal received, in particular the sound frequency bands and the sound intensity of the frequency bands of the audio signal.

Spatial arrangement of sound broadcasting devices

The present invention relates to a sound diffusion device () comprising a single box () and, in this single box (), at least two superimposed high-frequency acoustic sources (), and a plurality of superimposed medium and/or low-frequency sources () and arranged to the left and/or to the right of the high-frequency acoustic sources (), the high-frequency acoustic sources () being coupled individually to a wave guide () so as to generate a vertical wave front with a fixed non-constant curvature. Such a device () makes it possible to minimise discontinuities between the acoustic sources providing high quality sound diffusion (no parasite lobe), to considerably reduce the weight and the cost of manufacturing and also enables rapid installation which does not require the angular adjustment of each acoustic source relative to one another contrary to existing devices.

The invention relates to a sound broadcasting device comprising a high-frequency section including at least one high-frequency acoustic source (SHF), and a medium-frequency section including at least two medium-frequency sources (SMF), the acoustic sources (SHF, SMF) being vertically superposed, where the medium-frequency section comprises a lower sub-section, arranged below the high-frequency section and comprising at least one medium-frequency acoustic source (SMF), and an upper sub-section, arranged above the high-frequency section and comprising at least one medium-frequency acoustic source (SMF), where the vertical directivity of the high-frequency section has an incline, relative to the horizontal (H), that is substantially equal to the incline (&#x3b8;MF) of the vertical directivity of the medium-frequency section relative to the horizontal (H), so that the overall vertical directivity of the device has a non-zero incline (&#x3b8;Dir) relative to the horizontal (H).

Sound broadcasting system

The disclosure includes a sound system comprising at least one Digital Signal Processor control module, acting on a signal to the high-frequency transducer and on a signal to a mid-frequency transducer so as to apply, in a common frequency range, at least one magnitude parameter as well as at least one phase parameter so as to produce a directivity along the same angular sector as a directivity produced by the orientable shutters.
