Method for overmolding at least one line

A device, in particular a pre-assembled transmission cable, is used to transmit differential data signals in a high-speed data connection. The device contains a circuit board with a conductor pair with two signal conductors for transmitting the differential data signal. An output line which is insulated from the conductor pair is paired with the conductor pair, the output line running parallel to the signal conductors in a non-interrupted manner and additionally being connected to a measuring conductor via at least one damping element. By virtue of the configuration, an undesired common-mode signal component is at least partly coupled into the output line, where the signal component is absorbed during operation.

In a contact connecting of preferably a number of shielded conductor pairs to a board in particular of a plug for high-speed data connections, the board is formed of multiple layers and contains a conductor path tier and a ground tier. A ground contact zone of the ground tier projects, in a tongue-like manner, towards the connected conductor pairs. In the region of the ground contact zone, the individual conductor pairs are pressed in contact against the corresponding pair shielding thereof. To this end, in particular a clamping element is provided that is also used to achieve the shield contacting.

A connector element is configured in a manner of a flat connector and has a two-part connector housing extending in the longitudinal direction and a locking mechanism for forming a lockable plug-in connection with a counterpart. The locking mechanism contains a locking element having a pull tab fastened thereto. In order to enable a reliable emergency release even if the pull tab is ripped off, the locking element is led outside by a mounting part and the pull tab is irremovably fastened to the mounting part by riveting the pull tab or injection molding the pull tab onto the mounting part. This also makes it possible to easily adapt the pull element in a customer-specific manner.
