A conveying device for conveying metal strip coils. The conveying device includes: at least one coil carrier to carry a metal strip coil; two conveying stations arranged at different heights and each designed to receive one coil carrier; and a conveyor track extending between the conveying stations and having a conveyor drive by means of which a coil carrier can be conveyed on the conveyor track between the conveying stations. Each conveying station is tiltable between a first end position in which the conveying station is oriented horizontally and a second end position, wherein the conveying station has an inclination in the second end position which corresponds to the inclination of the conveyor track and adjoins the conveyor track so that a coil carrier can be conveyed by means of the conveyor drive from the conveyor track into the conveying station and from the conveying station onto the conveyor track.

Conveying device and method for conveying metal strip coils

The invention relates to a method for preventing shape changes in metal coils, in particular for preventing a collapsing of newly wound hot coils. In the method, a metal coil, in particular a newly wound hot coil, is rotated about its longitudinal axis intermittently in a first rotational direction and then rotated back in a second opposing rotational direction, or further rotated in the first rotational direction.

A coiling device that includes a coiler () having a coiling mandrel () for coiling a metal strip, and a coiling swing arm () having front and a rear pressure rollers () and a deflection plate (). A swing arm drive () lines up the coiling swing arm () with the coiling mandrel () and is driven away from the coiling mandrel (). An upper duct flap () upstream of the coiler () in the feed direction (x) guides the metal strip (). A flap drive () positions the upper duct flap () such that, when the coiling swing arm () is lined up with the coiling mandrel (), the upper duct flap is arranged between the coiling mandrel () and the front pressure roller () of the coiling swing arm () or is arranged upstream of the front pressure roller () of the coiling swing arm ().

Coiling device for a large range of metal strip thicknesses

A transport device () for transporting a coil (), comprising a coil transport cart () having a chassis () and having a coil support (), which is height-adjustable relative to the chassis (). In order to enable secure transport of the coil (), the transport device () has a movable fastening device () having a clamping unit () for pressing the coil () to be transported against the coil support (). The clamping unit () being height-adjustable relative to the coil support () and being able to be at least partly inserted into a coil eye () of the coil (). The fastening device () being fastened to the coil support () or to the chassis () of the coil transport cart (). The coil support () having a cut-out (), into which the clamping unit () can be at least partly lowered. Further disclosed is a use of such a transport device (), to a coil-processing system () having such a transport device (), and to a method for transporting a coil ().
