A torsional vibration damper having a driving part coupled to an output shaft of an internal combustion engine and a driven part coupled to an input shaft of a transmission device. The damper is arranged coaxially with respect to the driving part and can be relatively rotated to a limited extent with respect to the driven part. A guide ring is fastened to the driving part, on which guide ring several compression springs are movably supported. The driving part has at least one driving abutment which rests against a rear one of the springs in direction of rotation, and the driven part has a driven abutment which rests against a front one of the springs in direction of rotation.

Torsional vibration damper

A torsion attenuator for boat transmissions including a primary part coupled with the flywheel of a motor, a secondary part coupled with the input shaft of a reversing gear, which secondary part can be rotated relative to the primary part, plural elastic elements acting in a direction opposite the direction of the relative rotation and arranged symmetrically with respect to the axis of rotation between the primary part and the secondary part. At least one friction element is also provided for inhibiting the relative rotation and arranged between the primary part and the secondary part. In order to make possible a large relative rotation between the primary and secondary parts and with the elastic elements being of a specific given length, it is provided that the elastic elements on the primary part and/or on the secondary part and the structure associated therewith are supported on a sloped plane active in peripheral direction.

Torsional shock absorber with consecutive step-wise elastic resistance

A friction clutch for gear drives, which friction clutch is constructed as a spring-loaded safety clutch. The gearshift sleeve, which in the sense of the engagement and disengagement, is mounted axially movably and to a limited extent rotatably on the shaft to be engaged. The gearshift sleeve is connected with the shaft through at least one eccentric device rotatable substantially perpendicularly with respect to the axis of the shaft, such that the axial movement of the gearshift sleeve effects in the sense of the engagement both a rotation of the gearshift sleeve relative to the shaft and also the axial additional movement needed to reinforce the contact pressure, whereby the axial additional movement decreases with an increasing relative rotation, and the axial movement of the gearshift sleeve effects in the sense of the disengagement an oppositely directed rotary and axial additional movement, whereby the axial additional movement increases with a decreasing relative rotation. To reinforce the additional movement, a spring locking of the gearshift sleeve in its neutral position can be utilized through suitable shaping.

Shiftable friction clutch for gear drives

A shiftable friction clutch, in particular for gear drives, includes a gearshift sleeve axially movably supported on the shaft to be coupled and comprising at least one axially movable friction ring which belongs to one clutch half, which through clutch friction surfaces cooperates with the other clutch half and which is supported on the shaft to be coupled through rolling members to produce a contact pressure depending on the torque by means of sloped surfaces inclined with respect to the plane of rotation. To make shifting easier, in particular the disengagement, the sloped surfaces are provided on at least one element which is rotatable relative to the shaft and which is arranged in a corresponding recess in the shaft and can be moved against a spring force acting in direction of rotation of the shaft.

Shiftable friction clutch

An improved lift control in a steerable propeller or Z-drive for watercrafts. The drive includes a transmission shaft which extends from the engine to a point below the water level and to the propeller. The transmission shaft is arranged in the housing. For purposes of tilting the housing out of the water and/or trimming the angle of thrust, at least one pressure cylinder is provided and is arranged in the housing which contains the transmission shaft.
