Limiting access to native device capabilities. A method includes, at a container application installed at the computing device, the container application configured to execute hosted script based applications, identifying a hosted application to execute. The method further includes, at the container application, obtaining information identifying a limited set of capabilities from among the native device capabilities indicating which of the native device capabilities the hosted application has been granted access to. The method further includes, at the container application, executing the hosted application and enforcing limits on the hosted application such that the hosted application is only able to access the native device capabilities identified in the limited set of capabilities.

Isolating an application running inside a native container application

A method of ranking a plurality of products includes obtaining a numerical user score for each of the plurality of products, calculating an opinion score for each of the plurality of products for which a written comparison sentiment applies, determining a final score by combining the numerical user rating and the opinion score for each of the plurality of products, and ranking the plurality of products based on the final score. The opinion score is derived from one or more written comparison sentiments containing a first product name and a second product name. In another aspect, a computer readable medium has instructions stored thereon which, when executed, cause a computer to perform a method of ranking a plurality of products including at least a first product and a second product.

Methods and systems for extraction and summarization of sentiment information related to a particular research subject are disclosed. A method includes accessing sources of information that contain sentiment information that is related to the research subject and extracting the sentiment information from the sources of information as opinions related to the research subject. Opinion categories related to features of the research subject are identified. From this information a summarization of the sentiment information that is related to the particular research subject that includes the identified opinion categories is generated. Subsequently, access is provided to the summarization for graphical presentation.
