A water supply network includes node components and edge components, wherein the edge components transport water between the node components. The edge components is controllable in relation to its flow behavior for water. A method for controlling the water supply network includes the steps of determining a planning horizon, which includes a number of time slices; determining upper and lower limits for feeds and prospective withdrawals of water in the time slices; determining possible operating configurations of the at least one edge component; determining energy costs for an activation of the edge component in the time slices; determining permissible states of node components; determining current states (initial states) of edge or node components; and determining a control plan for the at least one edge component on the basis of the determined information in such a manner that a predetermined water balance is maintained in each time slice averaged over time.

Control of a water supply network

An embodiment of the present invention discloses a method for the computer-aided determination of the dependencies of a plurality of modules of a technical system, especially of a software system. Every module of the system has a known, first consumption of resources. The first consumption of resources of at least one of the modules is modified according to a predetermined criterion, thereby obtaining a modified system. The modified system is executed. A second consumption of resources is measured for every module of the modified system, the consumption resulting from the modification of the first consumption of resources of the at least one module. An analysis of the second consumption of resources of a respective module and the predetermined criterion is used to determine whether there is a dependency between the respective module and the at least one module that is characterized by the modified consumption of resources.

Method for the computer-aided determination of the dependencies of a plurality of modules of a technical system, especially of a software system

A resource allocation system is described in which resources and jobs are arranged as a network flow graph. In the system, resources are allocated to jobs using a network flow algorithm applied to the graph. The algorithm is applied from a graph source to a graph sink by finding a solution progressively for each time interval.

In a method for determination of an acquisition sequence for slice plane data of slice planes of an examination subject, the slice plane data are acquired with measurement sequences that each includes a preparation phase and a measurement phase temporally separated from the preparation phase. For n slice planes and a set of sequence parameters that include at least the parameters T: minimal repetition time between two measurement sequences of the same slice plane and T: maximum repetition time between two measurement sequences of the same slice plane, a periodic acquisition scheme that, temporally expanded, is [T, T]-compatible to the k-th degree and has k streams. The association of the n slice planes with the k streams of the acquisition scheme and the order of the slice planes within the respective streams are determined by mixed-integer linear program.
