A method is for acquiring an X-ray image of a region of interest of an examinee using an X-ray system and a displaceable patient table for positioning the examinee. In an embodiment, the method includes: selecting the region of interest; acquiring, section-by-section, successive image sections in relation to the region of interest, the acquiring, for each successive image section of the successive image sections, including moving the X-ray source and the X-ray detector along a common acquisition direction, moving the patient table counter to the common acquisition direction, determining a respective essentially strip-shaped detection area within the detection zone for a respective image section of the successive image sections, and detecting the respective image section by way of the determined detection area and the X-ray source, to acquire the respective image section; and generating a composite X-ray image of the region of interest from the respective successive image sections.

Method for acquiring an X-ray image section by section

A method is for making an X-ray recording of an examination region of an examination object with an X-ray system including an X-ray source arranged on an emitter displacement unit and an X-ray detector including a detection area, arranged on a detector displacement unit. The method includes selecting the examination region and portion-wise recording successive recording portions in relation to the examination region. The portion-wise recording includes moving the X-ray source and the X-ray detector, determining a strip-shaped detection region within the detection area, by expanding an extent of the X-ray recording compared with a further different X-ray recording, and acquiring and recording each respective successive recording portion, of the successive recording portions, using the determined detection region and the X-ray source. Finally, the method includes generating an assembled X-ray recording of the examination region from the successive recording portions recorded.

Method for making an expanded x-ray recording

A method is for operating an X-ray device. In an embodiment, the method includes acquiring a sequence of images of a patient; moving an acquisition arrangement including at least one X-ray tube assembly, during the acquiring of the sequence of images, along the patient in a scanning direction; evaluating at least two different images, showing at least one common feature of the patient, to determine depth information for the at least one common feature; and actuating a collimator aperture of a collimator of the X-ray tube assembly, as a function of position information describing a position of the acquisition arrangement in the scanning direction, to change an aperture angle of a radiation field generated by the X-ray tube assembly in the scanning direction.

Method for operating an X-ray device, X-ray device, computer program and electronically readable storage medium

A method for the automatic generation of synthetic projections of an examination object from at least one three-dimensional data set acquired by way of a medical imaging system. The three-dimensional data set is used as a basis for determining position information relating to the arrangement of structures of the examination object and at least one synthetic projection based on the position information. We also describe a projection-image-ascertaining facility for the automatic generation of synthetic projections and a computer program product for executing the method.
