An adhesive tape, including a substrate including a stitched fleece and an adhesive layer applied one-side on the substrate, wherein the stitched fleece is formed from fibers, which are stitched with stitching yarns. A manually tearable adhesive tape is disclosed, with improved abrasion resistance properties together with a high noise damping. The stitching yarns may be stitched with a fineness of at least F24.

Adhesive tape with fine-stitch stitch-bonded web

A cable wrapping tape, in particular for the engine compartment of an automobile, has a strip-like carrier consisting of fabric, said carrier is provided at least on one side with a self-adhering adhesive layer which consists of a pressure-sensitive adhesive, wherein the fabric of the carrier consists of a yarn which is formed from a polyamide material and which has a yarn strength of at least 280 dtex. The yarn is formed from 24 to 80 filaments, and the cable wrapping tape meets abrasion class E according to LV 312 both on a mandrel having a 5 mm diameter and on a mandrel having a 10 mm diameter. For increasing the abrasion resistance, it is proposed that the filaments are twisted with one another about a central longitudinal axis (X-X) of the yarn.

Cable winding tape, in particular for an engine compartment of an automotive vehicle

A highly abrasion-resistant technical adhesive tape rolled into an adhesive tape roll includes a strip-shaped double-layer substrate with a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on one side. The substrate includes a first fabric layer, and a second fabric layer firmly connected to each other over the entire surface by an adhesive connection layer. An adhesive tape of this type acts in a noise-damping manner and is easily processable both manually and by machine because the fabric of the first textile layer and the fabric of the second textile layer each have a basis weight of 50 g/mto 300 g/m. The adhesive connection layer has a basis weight of 50 g/mto 300 g/m. The adhesive tape has a thickness (D) of at least 0.5 mm. At least one tape edge has a pattern deviating from a straight line formed by a separating process.

Manually tearable woven adhesive tape with high abrasion resistance and noise damping, and method of making same

The present disclosure relates to a cable wrapping tape, including a band-shaped support () made of a textile fabric with warp threads () and weft threads () made of a PET plastic. The warp and weft threads () are made of filament yarns, the size of the weft threads () being larger than the size of the warp threads (). An adhesive coating is applied to the support (). The size of the warp threads () is larger than/equal to 20 dtex and smaller than/equal to 40 dtex.

Cable wrapping tape

A self-windable, transversely tearable textile industrial adhesive tape () having a tape-shaped substrate () which has a thickness (D) in the range of 0.05 mm to 1.8 mm, consisting of a knitted fabric () having stitches () made of yarn (), and which is provided on one side with a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating () which is applied directly to the substrate () with a specific weight per unit area in the range of 20 g/mto 300 g/m. In order to obtain improved manufacturability as well as improved functional characteristics, in particular an improved dimensional stability during the process, while preserving the advantages of using a substrate (), it is proposed that the substrate () includes weft threads () running mutually parallel in the transverse direction, which weft threads () are held in the stitches () of the knitted fabric ().

Self-windable, cross-tearable, textile industrial adhesive tape having a knitted substrate

A method for assembling cable wrapping tapes. From an adhesive tape parent roll, strip-like adhesive tapes (), each having two cut edges () on the sides, are produced from a textile material which has an adhesive coating () on one side, by cutting in the drawing direction of the parent roll. The cutting is performed using an ultrasound-excited cutting tool () and wherein the cutting is performed using a cooled cutting tool (). An adhesive tape (), having a strip-like textile carrier material () and an adhesive coating () applied to one side and two cut edges () on the sides. The cut edges () are created by ultrasound cutting, and the textile carrier material () of the carrier is fused to its cut edges (). No adhesive coating () exists on the cut edges (); which are free of lint and threads.

Method for assembling textile adhesive tapes

An adhesive tape includes a carrier having a stitch bonded nonwoven and an adhesive layer that is applied to one side of the carrier, wherein the stitch bonded nonwoven is formed from fibers, which are stitched with sewing threads. The adhesive tape has improved abrasion resistance while simultaneously avoiding flagging. The sewing threads may have a thread linear density of at least 80 dtex.

Adhesive tape having a stitch-bonded nonwoven carrier

A cable wrapping tape, in particular for the engine compartment of an automobile, has a strip-like carrier () consisting of fabric, said carrier is provided at least on one side with a self-adhering adhesive layer () which consists of a pressure-sensitive adhesive, wherein the fabric of the carrier () consists of a yarn () which is formed from a polyamide material and which has a yarn strength of at least 280 dtex. An abrasion-resistant adhesive tape (), that can be formed into a roll, preferably a cable winding tape (), with a strip-shaped double-layer substrate () with a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating () on one side. The substrate () having a first textile fabric layer () and a second textile fabric layer (), being permanently connected by an adhesive connection layer (). For a high abrasion resistance, preferably a class-E abrasion resistance according to LV 312, and enabling easy processing with a minimal thickness, the first and second textile layers () each have a basis weight ranging from 80 to 300 g/m, the adhesive connection layer () having a basis weight ranging from 50 to 300 g/mand a laminate adhesive force, by DIN EN 1939, between the textile layers greater than 10 N/cm.

Highly abrasion-resistant technical adhesive tape with double-layer liner

An adhesive tape (), in particular a double-sided adhesive tape has a substrate made of plastic with a self-adhesive, pressure-sensitive layer () consisting of a pressure-sensitive adhesive containing a UV-crosslinkable acrylate as primary constituent. In order to achieve an at least moderate, preferably increased adhesive force on nonpolar surfaces () as well as preferably an increased shear strength, while preserving the advantages of the use of UV-crosslinkable acrylates in the adhesive coating and ensuring an at least moderate, preferably increased adhesive force on steel, the pressure-sensitive adhesive contains powdered silicon dioxide, wherein the substrate () made of plastic is configured as a film. The pressure-sensitive adhesive is modified with tackifying resins, such as pinene, indene and/or colophonium resins, their disproportioned, hydrated, polymerized, esterified derivates and/or salts and/or terpene and/or terpene phenol resins and/or aliphatic, aromatic, alkyl aromatic hydrocarbon resins, and/or with one or several C5- to C9-hydrocarbon resin(s).

Adhesive tape, in particular, double-sided adhesive tape, and use thereof for attaching to non-polar surfaces

An adhesive tape having a carrier including a stitch-bonded web and an adhesive coating applied on at least one side of the carrier. The stitch-bonded web may contain fibers composed entirely from polyester (PES) and sewn by means of at least one sewing thread. The stitch-bonded web contains bicomponent fibers in addition to the fibers may be composed of PES.

The present disclosure relates to a woven-fabric adhesive tape, more particularly a cable-wrapping tape, comprising a tape-shaped woven-fabric backing having at least one adhesive coating applied to at least one side of the backing. The woven-fabric backing is formed from warp threads and weft threads and the linear density of the weft threads in dtex is greater than the linear density of the warp threads in dtex. The width-based linear density of the warp threads in dtex/cm is less than the length-based linear density of the weft threads in dtex/cm. The width-based linear density of the warp threads is about 2000 to 4000 dtex/cm and the length-based linear density of the weft threads is about 8000 to 20 000 dtex/cm, preferably 8000 to 16 000 dtex/cm. The disclosure further provides a tape-shaped woven-fabric backing for use in a woven-fabric adhesive tape.

Transversely tearable fabric-adhesive tape with high abrasion resistance

The invention relates to an industrial adhesive tape. The tape includes a tape-shaped textile dyed backing and an adhesive coating, in particular a pressure sensitive adhesive coating applied to at least one side of the textile dyed backing. To achieve significantly reduced inherent discoloration or decolorization and also reduced discoloration of the wrapped materials, and hence improved compatibility of the adhesive tape with the materials to be adhered together, such as cablesets, the textile backing is fabricated from spun-dyed threads or fibers.

Industrial adhesive tape and its use

An adhesive tape having a tape-like textile support and an adhesive coating applied to the support, wherein the tape can be unwound easily ready for use without special covering or treatment of the adhesive coating. A tape-like support comprises at least partially a needle punched nonwoven from at least partially thermoplastic fibers, in which the thermoplastic fibers are bonded to each other at least partially by melting on the side opposite the adhesive coating. Melting of the fibers preferably occurs by one-sided heat calendering of the support material. The surface produced by treatment of the fiber material prevents unduly strong adhesion with the following layer during winding of the tape and tearing out of the fibers from their bond during unwinding of the tape. A cost-effective textile adhesive tape from needle punched nonwoven is therefore created without additional interliner.
