A landing door of an elevator system includes a door leaf that is equipped with an integrated operating and/or display panel. In the event of a fire, a printed circuit board of the operating and/or display panel is removed from the door leaf by activation of an ejection device comprising intumescent material and being positioned in the door leaf.

A landing door of an elevator system includes a door leaf equipped with an integrated floor indicator that signals to a person the floor on which an elevator car approaching the exit floor is currently located. The door leaf of the landing door has a wall element made of sheet metal with a microperforated indicator sector and actuatable light sources arranged in the indicator sector behind the wall element to form the floor indicator.

Elevator system

A landing door of an elevator system has a door leaf equipped with an integrated floor display that indicates to a person the floor at which an elevator car approaching the floor of departure is currently located. The door leaf of the landing door has a wall element made of sheet metal, the floor display having at least one controllable light source arranged behind the wall element, and a cover layer. The wall element has a display segment with a plurality of light passage openings, the light passage openings forming a perforated screen structure. The cover layer functions such that after the light source is activated to display the desired floor information, light from the light source penetrates through the light passage openings and the cover layer to the outside and when the light source is deactivated, the cover layer does not let light through to the outside.

A fastening apparatus for fastening a drive of an elevator system, wherein the elevator system includes an installation structure for installing the drive, has a beam with two feet for fastening the beam to the installation structure. The fastening apparatus includes a drive bracket for receiving the drive, wherein the drive bracket is fastened to the beam, and a support leg that is fastened at one end to the drive bracket and additionally supports the drive bracket on the installation structure.

A drive unit for an elevator installation having a first traveling body and a second traveling body, which traveling bodies are supported by a support device, drives the support device and thus the two traveling bodies. The two traveling bodies each have at least one first support roller by which the support device supports the traveling bodies, at least partially. The drive unit includes at least one first and one second roller arranged on a common axis of rotation of the drive unit, wherein at least one of the first or second rollers is a drive unit roller for driving the support device. On the way from the first traveling body to the second traveling body, the support device is guided over the first drive unit roller and over the second drive unit roller. The guidance is hereby such that the circumferential speeds of the two drive unit rollers vary.

A modular drive for an elevator installation and a method of converting and fastening the drive in the elevator installation includes combining the main drive components such as a drive device, a brake device and a drive pulley into a drive module. Connecting parts for fastening the drive within an elevator shaft or in an engine space, or for adjusting a support means spacing, are mounted on the drive as required.

Equipment for suspension of a car or a counterweight in an elevator installation and methods for mounting and for maintenance of the suspension apparatus includes deflecting roller units. The car or the counterweight hangs at support belts that are each connected with the car or the counterweight by an associated one of the deflecting roller units. Each roller unit provides space for one of the support belts. The roller unit provides compensation for different elongations of the several support belts and it enables simple mounting of the support belts.

A modular drive for an elevator installation with a car and a counterweight includes a drive pulley driven by a motor and a self-supporting deflecting module with a deflecting roller, wherein the motor and the drive pulley are combined to form a self-supporting drive module. Interfaces for attachment of connecting parts are provided at the drive module or the deflecting module.

Method and apparatus for operating an elevator system

A safety device brakes an elevator car with a guide rail exhibiting an oblong guide flange. The safety device includes a base carrying a retaining element and an abutment with the guide flange positioned therebetween. A mechanism squeezes, when braking, a braking element blocking roller between the guide flange and the abutment. The mechanism, co-operating with an electromagnet, moves the braking element in a controlled way between different positions associated with different operating conditions of the safety device.

Safety device for elevators

In an elevator installation with an elevator car and a counterweight suspended and driven by several flat-belt-type suspension devices arranged in parallel, the suspension devices are arranged in parallel vertical planes that run diagonal to main horizontal axes of the counterweight and/or of the elevator car. Mounted on the counterweight and on the elevator car are suspension-sheave systems of which at least one comprises several suspension-sheave units which each have one suspension sheave and are arranged adjacent to each other, the suspension-sheave units being fastened to the counterweight and/or to the elevator car in such manner that the axles of the suspension sheaves are essentially horizontal and each are swivelable about one associated vertical axis.

An elevator hoistway for a multi-storied building which, to create a vertical travel path for an elevator installation, extends through at least one story floor and has at least one hoistway frame which bounds a hoistway penetration aperture in the story floor is to be post-constructionally created in an existing multi-storied building with little building effort and inexpensive means in that the hoistway penetration aperture can be covered by means of a load-bearing floor structure. In this way, and especially in one-family houses, the volume of the elevator hoistway can be used for non-elevator-specific purposes, e.g. as residential space, until the point in time when an elevator is subsequently installed. The hoistway frame itself serves as an interface between the building and elevator fastenings which may be provided for the transmission of forces.

An elevator system control box is mounted on an elevator car above or below a car door. The mounting position of the control box makes it possible for a service technician to reach elevator drive system components, such as a travel regulation unit, safety circuits, an optional drive regulation unit, a frequency inverter, etc., mounted in the control box conveniently standing at hand or eye level at a floor with the shaft doors opened.

A modular, prefabricated elevator includes column-like guide modules (10) extending between a foundation module (13) and a head module (2) and attached to a building by fastening modules (11), and an elevator car (5) that is connected by support cables (3) with counterweights (9) running in the guide modules (10). A stationary drive for the car (5) is in the form of one or two drive modules (12) combined with the head module (2) or with the foundation module (13) and integrated into the modular system in this manner. Through appropriate selection of the number of drive modules (12), the mode of suspension and the motor power, a wide range of use is covered with respect to conveying load and speed.
