A method for inspecting a preservation layer of a motor vehicle component during the manufacture of a motor vehicles. A preservation medium is applied having fluorescent additives to a component of the motor vehicle in a coating region. An inspection head having at least one camera and a UV light source is then caused to move adjacent to an inspection region that is a partial region of the coating region. The UV light source is the caused to emit radiating light onto the inspection region and the at least one camera is concurrently caused to record at least one image of the inspection region. An examination of the at least one recorded image is then conducted for a faulty coating with the preservation medium.

Method for testing a preservative layer

A method for production of a motor vehicle that includes providing a device for positioning motor vehicle parts that comprises a base frame having at least one base module arranged thereon, and at least one exchangeable docking plate configured for connection to the base module, the at least one exchangeable docking plate having arranged thereon a plurality of receivers configured to hold the motor vehicle parts, transferring the at least one exchangeable docking plate to the base frame, connecting, at a configuration station, the at least one exchangeable docking plate to the base module, fitting, at a work station, a motor vehicle part to the at least one exchangeable docking plate, such that the motor vehicle part is held by the receivers, and equipping the motor vehicle part with add-on parts.

Method for the production of motor vehicles

A device for positioning motor vehicle parts in the production or manufacture of motor vehicles. The device includes a main frame, at least one main module configured to be disposed on the main frame, at least one interchangeable first docking plate configured for releasable connection to the main module, and a plurality of first receptacles, arranged on the interchangeable first docking plate, configured to hold the motor vehicle parts at a predefined position during the production.
