The invention relates to a drying cylinder which is used to dry a paper, cardboard, tissue or other web of fibrous material in a machine for the production and/or for the transformation thereof. The drying cylinder includes a support body and an external cover layer which is heated by a hot fluid. The thermal flow passing through the external cover layer is increased such that at least one cavity is provided between the support body and the external cover layer through which the fluid flows. The external cover layer is predominately so thin that the ratio formed by the thermal conductivity of the material and the thickness of the external cover layer is greater than a threshold value of 3.2 kW/mK for steel, 30 kW/mK for aluminum, 18 kW/mK for bronze alloys, 3.4 kW/mK for copper and 6.1 kW/mK for magnesium.

Drying cylinder

A support band for a drying arrangement for drying one of a paper, a board, a tissue and a fibrous web in a papermaking machine for at least one of producing and finishing the same, the support band including a water-impermeable sealing layer and at least one water-absorbing storage layer. The at least one water-absorbing storage layer being adjacent to the water-impermeable sealing layer. At least one of the water-impermeable sealing layer or the water-absorbing storage layer being made, at least partially, of a highly thermally conductive material.

Support band

A wire section in a machine for the production of a fiber web including at least one twin wire former including a revolving continuous inner wire and a revolving continuous outer wire that converge in the area of a forming roll. After the forming roll, viewed in the direction of web travel, and inside the loop of the inner wire and inside the loop of the outer wire at least one additional strip element is located.

The present invention is a machine for manufacturing a fibrous web from a fibrous suspension, with a sheet forming area that exhibits at least one suction box, which includes a main box with at least one suction box cover that is formed from at least two drainage elements that run laterally to the machine's running direction, border a suction slit, and each has one main body and at least one ceramic. The present invention is identified by the fact that at least; one drainage element and/or one format slide exhibit at least one removable edge piece in which is integrated at least one temperature sensor in order to measure the temperature in the ceramic and/or the temperature at an adhesive point between the ceramic and the associated main body and/or the temperature in the main body. The present invention is furthermore a process and a system for monitoring a drainage element.

Process for monitoring a drainage element

The present invention is a machine for manufacturing a fibrous web from a fibrous suspension, with a sheet forming area that exhibits at least one suction box, which includes a main box with at least one suction box cover that is formed from at least two drainage elements that run laterally to the machine's running direction, border a suction slit, and each has one main body and at least one ceramic. The present invention is identified by the fact that at least one drainage element and/or one format slide exhibit at least one removable edge piece in which is integrated at least one temperature sensor in order to measure the temperature in the ceramic and/or the temperature at an adhesive point between the ceramic and the associated main body and/or the temperature in the main body. Machine for producing a fibrous web from a fibrous suspension as well as a process and system for monitoring a drainage element

The arrangement is for use within a machine for at least one of making and processing at least one of paper, cardboard and tissue. The arrangement includes a first unit, a support piece and at least one clamping device. A first unit has a shaped part together with a wear part, the shaped part having a part underside. The part underside has an underside length, the shaped part displaying a part contour upon the part underside along substantially all of the underside length. A support piece interlocks with the shaped part, the support piece having a support piece top and a corresponding top length. The support piece has a piece contour upon the support piece top along substantially all of the top length, the piece contour being substantially complimentary to the part contour. At least one clamping device is operatively positioned relative to both the part contour and the piece contour.

Method and arrangement for attaching at least one shaped part together with a wear part onto a support piece

A machine for the production of a multi-layer fiber stock web, specifically a paper or cardboard web, whereby a first and a second layer are couched as a result of being delivered by an associated forming belt or wire to a couching element around which a second forming belt, or wire delivering the second layer is guided. This second forming belt, or wire impacts/runs onto the couching element before the second layer, which is supported by it, makes contact with the first layer. The second layer, at least in the location where it comes into contact with the first layer, is retained through suction force to the second forming belt wire.
