A sowing device for discharging and treating discharged plant propagation materials during their fall onto an underlying agricultural surface (B), having a reservoir container (10) for the plant materials, having a separating device (20) which is configured to separate plant materials (K) fed from the reservoir container and to output them individually, and having an application device (30) to apply a compound onto the separated plant materials from a cartridge assembly comprising one or more cartridges that each are separate from the reservoir container in the sowing device, wherein the application device applies the dressing from the one or more cartridges to the separated plant materials after they leave the separating device while the separated plant materials fall freely on toward the underlying agricultural surface wherein the device and the one or more cartridges are configured to allow repeated removal from the device, and optionally, refilling with the dressing composition and replacing in the device, with minimal operator interaction.

Sowing device and method for treating seeds during planting

Disclosed is a device for selectively applying a dressing composition including an agricultural product and component and at least one adjuvant/carrier component to a plant propagation material externally from the device during sowing and/or planting, and for discharging the dressed plant propagation material onto an underlying surface, including: a. a reservoir container (), b. a separating device () to separate plant propagation material (K) fed from the reservoir container and to output them individually, c. a sensor unit for determining at least one environmental condition when the device is in use, and d. an application assembly () configured to selectively apply an aliquot of a dressing composition to the separated plant propagation materials during free-falling after the point of discharge from the device, wherein the assembly () includes: i. a sensor () for measuring the trajectory of the seed while falling, ii. a controller () for calculating the trajectory and for coordinating and applying the dressing composition; and iii. an outlet device for dispensing the dressing composition.

Precision treatment and sowing or planting method and device

The present invention relates to a system for modifying existing sowing equipment comprising a plant propagation materials (K) reservoir, a separation device for singulating plant propagation materials (K), and an outlet for directing the singulated plant propagation materials (K) to the soil, comprising an application assembly () configured to be attachable to the outlet or the singulation device, for selectively applying an aliquot of a dressing composition to the separated plant propagation materials (K) wherein the application device () further comprises: i. a power supply connector, ii. a reservoir () for the fluidized dressing composition, all attachable to the sowing equipment; ill. a sensor array comprising at least one sensor () for measuring the trajectory of the plant propagation materials while falling, iv. a controller () for calculating the trajectory from the data received from the sensor array; and for coordinating and applying the dressing composition; and v. an outlet device for dispensing an aliquot of the dressing composition selectively onto the plant propagation materials during free-falling.
