A bitumen film containing magnetic powder is heated prior to magnetization to a temperature enabling the magnetic powder particles to be oriented according to the effect of the magnetic field. The bitumen film is sufficiently cooled after magnetization in order to preserve the magnetization, whereby the orientation of the magnetic powder particles, which is adjusted during magnetization, is maintained.

A noise-deadening laminate board configured for noise deadening having a bituminous layer more than 1 mm thick, bonded to one side of a thermal insulation layer of foam, felt or the like, and an adhesive layer on the other side of the thermal insulation layer for adhesion to a component to be improved acoustically, the bituminous layer, thereby being located on the outer side of the laminate board.

A brake pad has a support made of two metal sheets bonded together by a damping layer. The damping layer is formed exclusively from a crosslinked plastic adhesive in a thickness of about 75 .mu.m to 100 .mu.m, and is either a peroxide-crosslinked polyacrylate or a peroxide-crosslinked silicone adhesive.
