A lightguide structure for illumination, detection and/or holographic representation includes at least one planar lightguide for guiding electromagnetic radiation of at least a first spectrum, at least one illumination arrangement located on the first side face of the lightguide, and at least one holographic outcoupling structure for coupling out electromagnetic radiation guided in the lightguide structure. The light radiated in by the illumination arrangement can have a large angular range, the holographic outcoupling structure having a small angular range. Also provided is a production method for such a lightguide structure and to an operating element comprising a lightguide structure.

Holographic operating element

A system for a functionalized pane in a door, through which person-based and/or object-based authorization verification can be carried out is provided. The person-based verification can include a holography-based, stereoscopic holocamera that can be integrated into the pane. In addition, a holographic display that can also be integrated into the pane can be included. Corresponding methods can be used to carry out the authorization verification under the control of the control device and to control a locking mechanism of a door and a holographic display.

Holographic access control

A lighting device, in particular a rear luminaire, for a vehicle is provided. The lighting device has a hologram and a light source for illuminating the hologram. An image, more particularly a real image, is thereby generated, which can also lie outside the physical boundaries of the lighting device.

Lighting device for vehicles

Light-emitting devices for motor vehicles are provided, which comprise a reflection hologram. A light-guiding body is provided to direct light from a light source arrangement () onto the hologram.

Illumination device for vehicles

An illumination apparatus for a motor vehicle comprises: a light source, an optical waveguide with an incident surface and a reflective region; and a hologram arranged on or in the optical waveguide. The illumination apparatus is configured such that light emitted by the light source enters the incident surface of the optical waveguide in the direction of the reflective region, is reflected by the reflective region inside the optical waveguide in the direction of the hologram and interacts with the hologram. The average distance between the light source and the incident surface is at least half as great as the average distance between the reflective region and the hologram.

Illumination apparatus for a motor vehicle

A waveguide for a detector system includes a transparent main body with a partially transparent incoupling region and a decoupling region that is spaced apart therefrom in a first direction. The incoupling region includes a diffractive structure which deflects only part of radiation coming from an object to be detected and impinging on the front face such that the deflected part propagates as coupled-in radiation in the main body by reflections up to the decoupling region and impinges on the decoupling region. The decoupling region deflects at least part of the coupled-in radiation impinging thereon such that the deflected part exits the main body via the front face or rear face in order to impinge on the detector system. The extent of the incoupling region in a second direction transverse to the first direction is greater than the extent of the decoupling region in the second direction.

Functionalized waveguide for a detector system

A screen includes a transparent base body with a front face and a rear face, and an image sensor. The base body includes a coupling-in region and a coupling-out region at a distance therefrom in a first direction. The coupling-in region includes a diffractive structure which deflects only part of the radiation incident on the front face and originating from an object to be detected, such that the deflected part is propagated as coupled-in radiation in the base body by reflection, until it reaches the coupling-out region and is incident on said coupling-out region, and the coupling-out region deflects at least part of said incident coupled-in radiation, such that the deflected part exits the base body via the front face or the rear face and is incident on the image sensor.

An imaging apparatus has a plurality of light-emitting elements arranged in a first direction along a line for generating a plurality of modulated light beams wherein the plurality of light-emitting elements comprises a plurality of optical elements, which are arranged in the first direction, and a laser projector apparatus for scanning the optical elements in the first direction. A deflection apparatus is included for adjustably deflecting the plurality of modulated light beams in a second direction, wherein the second direction differs from the first direction; and wherein the deflection apparatus comprises a rotating element and the optical elements are arranged on the rotating element.

Data projection system

A device for data projection, includes a holographic element arranged as a imaging element for a windshield. An imaging device has a first imaging system and a second imaging system configured to illuminate the holographic element. The holographic element has a first volume hologram structured to be angle-selective for light under a first illumination angle and to generate a first two-dimensional virtual image at a first fixed distance from the holographic element corresponding to the first image data, and a second volume hologram structured to be angle-selective for light under a second illumination angle and to generate a second two-dimensional virtual image at a second fixed distance from the holographic element different from the first distance corresponding to the second image data, such that the first and second images are viewable separately and simultaneously by a person.

Methods and devices for data projection

A functionalized waveguide for a detector system includes an incoupling region of a main body that deflects only part of the radiation coming from an object to be detected and impinges on the front face such that the deflected part propagates as coupled-in radiation in the main body by reflections up to the decoupling region and impinges on the decoupling region. A decoupling region deflects at least part of the coupled-in radiation impinging thereon such that the deflected part exits the main body via the front or rear face to impinge on the detector system. The extent of the incoupling region in a second direction transverse to the first direction is greater than the extent of the decoupling region in the second direction. In the second direction, the incoupling region has at least two different diffractive incoupling structures which have a different deflection component in the second direction.

A lighting device (), in particular a rear luminaire, for a vehicle () is provided. The lighting device () has a hologram () and a light source () for illuminating the hologram (). An image, more particularly a real image (), is thereby generated, which can also lie outside the physical boundaries of the lighting device ().

Provided is a waveguide arrangement, comprising a diffractive input coupling element (), in particular a volume hologram, a diffractive output coupling element (), in particular a volume hologram, and optionally a beam expansion element (), in particular a volume hologram. The expansion element () and the output coupling element () expand a light beam in different directions.

Waveguide and devices for data reflection

Light-emitting devices for motor vehicles are provided, which comprise a reflection hologram. A light-guiding body is provided to direct light from a light source arrangement onto the hologram.

Used are an imaging apparatus for a device for data projection and an optical component and a corresponding device for data projection. The imaging apparatus here comprises a plurality of light-emitting elements (), arranged in a first direction, and a deflection apparatus () for deflecting light beams in a second direction. The optical component can comprise a windshield which is provided with holograms.

Provided are methods and devices for data superimposition, in which an imaging device comprises a diffuser and a holographic layer to provide a real or virtual image for an observer. In one variant, diffuser and holographic layer are provided on different sides of a transparent carrier. In other embodiments, the imaging device and holographic layer are arranged in smart glasses.
