The invention relates to a linear brake (LBR) for attachment on a slide that can be moved along a guide rail (F), having a brake housing (), which at least partially surrounds the guide rail (F), a force store arranged on or in the brake housing () and a brake piston (), which is loaded by the force store, surrounds the guide rail (F) in a fork-like manner and is moved by the force store against the guide rail transversely to the movement direction between the slide and the guide rail (F). The brake piston presses the two clamp jaws (), which are connected with a U-shaped transfer plate (), against the guide rail (F) by means of piston bevels () and wedge bevels (), which are arranged on both sides of the guide rail (F) and are opposite each other. The brake piston () is configured as a cylindrical annular piston, which is loaded on one end face by the force store () arranged centrally in the annular piston and has on the other end face the piston ends () with the bevel faces (). A piston space () is formed in an annular manner and on the radial outer side of the cylindrical annular piston () in the region of the join () between the annular piston and the housing body (), wherein a piston ring () connected radially on the outside to the annular piston delimits the piston space () at the end face.

Linear brake operated by means of external energy

A quiescent-current-actuated electromagnetic spring pressure brake including torque transmission sleeves disposed between a machine wall and the brake, and an axially movable armature plate having bores along its periphery to receive the torque transmission sleeves. At least one piston guide ring is provided in the area of torque transmission sleeves on the outer periphery of the latter adjacent an O-ring disposed in a groove, said piston guide ring being placed in the groove of said O-ring or in a separate groove and acting to provide a damping action in the circumferential direction and a sliding displacement of the armature plate in the axial direction.

Noise damping for a quiescent-current-actuaged, electromagnetic spring pressure brake

The invention relates to a mounting of one or more electromagnetically bleeding spring-loaded brakes (a, b) on a machine wall or the like. The invention is characterized in that the brakes are, while distributed over the periphery on the face, act upon an axially moving brake rotor () with continuous friction linings () on both sides (i.e. left and right), whereby braking (left) surface of the friction lining () and on the opposite side with the armature discs of the brakes on the second (right) friction lining ().

Segment brake

The invention relates to an electromagnetically ventilating spring-pressure brake for mounting on the driving disk () or the driving disk shaft () of already existing elevators, which are operated with cables passing over a driving disk. The external-mounted brake () is situated concentric to the central axis of the driving disk () or driving disk shaft () on a separate base () of the structure on the free side (i.e. opposite the driving side) of the driving disk () and is fastened in a stationary and rotationally fixed manner. The rotor () of the brake () is connected in an essentially rotationally fixed manner to the free end of the driving disk () or of the driving disk shaft () in order to transmit the braking torque of the external-mounted brake to the driving disk ().

Elevator brake

A friction safety brake which is released by virtue of an electromagnet is disclosed. Extending from a machine wall is a shaft that is rotatable relative to the machine wall. The shaft is to be braked by the friction safety brake. The brake includes: a first assembly comprising a coil carrier, a coupling element, a flange plate, at least one first brake disk and an intermediate disk; and a second assembly comprising an armature disk, at least a second brake disk and the intermediate disk. The flange plate is coupled in an axial direction with the coil carrier by virtue of coupling elements and is independently movable relative to the armature disk in the axial direction such that two braking circuits are available. The first braking circuit includes the armature disk, the coil carrier and the flange plate (,) coupled to each other in the direction of rotation. And, the second braking circuit includes the intermediate disk being relatively axially displaceable with respect to the coil carrier and the machine wall.

Friction safety brake having two independent braking circuits

The invention relates to an electromagnetically releasable friction safety brake with two brake discs (,) which are arranged on a common central drive shaft to be axially displaceable but non-rotatable with respect to the shaft. Axially disposed between the two brake discs (,) in a spool carrier (,) is a magnetic coil (,) and springs (,) that urge the brake discs (,) into the braking position. To solve the problem of simplifying such a brake further saving cost and space without detracting from the functional safety of the brake, it is envisaged that the electromagnet consisting of the magnetic coil (,) and the spool carrier (,) that surround the central shaft or hub are axially displaceable but non-rotatable in the brake, that a single armature disc (,) which is also axially displaceable but non-rotatable in the brake is arranged between the two brake discs (,) and the magnetic coil/spool carrier, and that the springs (,) are tensioned axially between the magnetic coil/spool carrier, and the single armature disc (,). In an alternative arrangement, the drive shaft takes the form of a boss surrounding the brake assembly. Brake discs have radially outwardly facing splines that engage radially inwardly facing splines within the boss. In a linear version of the brake, the brake discs are replaced by the cables or webs of external equipment.
