A fuel injection device, which has: a nozzle needle, guided displaceably in a nozzle body, which as a function of its position opens or closes at least one injection opening, in which a control chamber, to which fuel can be delivered under pressure via an inlet throttle and from which fuel can be diverted, controlled by a control valve, via an outlet throttle, is provided at a piston face of the nozzle needle facing away from the injection opening, and in which in operation, the position of the nozzle needle is controlled by a pressure difference between the pressure in the control chamber and the pressure of the fuel at the end, toward the injection opening, of the nozzle needle, is characterized in that the nozzle needle is surrounded, over at least part of its length, during operation by fuel at high pressure, such that only in the regions of the nozzle needle near the injection opening and in the control chamber can a lower pressure, differing from the high fuel pressure, occur.

Fuel injection device

A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines has a valve body in which a pistonlike valve member is longitudinally displaceably disposed in a bore. The valve member is surrounded, over at least part of its length, by a pressure chamber that can be filled with fuel. On its end toward the combustion chamber, a valve seat is embodied in the bore, on which seat the valve member comes to rest with a valve sealing face in a closing position, so that the pressure chamber is disconnected from at least one injection opening located downstream of the valve sealing face. First and second parallel annular grooves are formed in the end region of the valve member disposed axially toward the valve seat and the valve sealing face is disposed between these two annular grooves.

Fuel-injection valve for internal combustion engines

The fuel injection system has one high-pressure fuel pump and one fuel injection valve for each cylinder of the engine. The fuel injection valve has a first hollow injection valve member and a second valve member guided displaceably, inside the first valve member for controlling first and second opening(s), respectively into the associated engine cylinder. The second valve member is movable by the pressure prevailing in a pressure chamber in an opening direction counter to a closing force and is acted upon at least indirectly by the pressure prevailing in a fuel-filled control chamber, which pressure is controllable as a function of operating parameters of the engine such that the second injection valve member, by means of the pressure prevailing in the control chamber, can be blocked, independently of an opening motion of the first injection valve member in a position that closes the at least one second injection opening.

Fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine

The fuel injection system has one high-pressure fuel pump () with a pump work chamber () and one fuel injection valve (), communicating with the pump work chamber, for each cylinder of the engine. The fuel injection valve () has a first injection valve member (), by which at least a first injection opening () is controlled, and which is movable in an opening direction () counter to a closing force by the pressure generated in the pump work chamber (). Inside the hollow first injection valve member (), a second injection valve member () is guided displaceably, by which at least a second injection opening () is controlled, and which is movable by the pressure prevailing in the pressure chamber () in an opening direction () counter to a closing force; the second injection valve member () is acted upon at least indirectly by the pressure prevailing in a fuel-filled control chamber (), which pressure is generated, as a function of operating parameters of the engine, by a feed pump () such that the second injection valve member () either remains in its closed position, or can open.

A suction jet pump for delivering fuel from a tank to the internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle is driven by fuel flowing back from the engine and delivers fuel from a tank into a collecting receptacle of a fuel delivery unit. The suction power of the pump is not limited by the propulsive jet lying against the housing wall so that the entire propulsive jet surface is no longer available for the entrainment of fuel, as in the prior art, but instead the fuel is aspirated from intake openings, which are disposed opposite each other in pairs. This permits the suction power to be noticeably increased.

Device for supplying fuel from a tank to the internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle

A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines with a valve member that is guided so that the valve member can move axially in a bore of the valve body. The valve member, on an end oriented toward the combustion chamber of the engine, has a conical valve sealing surface with which the valve member cooperates with a conical valve seat surface at the closed, combustion chamber end of the bore of the valve member. The conical valve sealing surface on the valve member is divided into two regions that have different cone angles, at the transition of which a transition region is formed. The transition region is delimited by an upstream and a downstream valve sealing edge, where the difference between the cone angle of the transition region and the cone angle of the valve sealing surface is smaller than the difference between the cone angle of the downstream region and the cone angle of the valve sealing surface (inverse seat angle differential). The transition region is adjoined on the upstream side by a radial recess, which is embodied in the valve member and is delimited by the upstream sealing edge of the transition region and an edge embodied on the valve body.
