An electric motor for a rail vehicle has a rotational speed sensor. The rotational speed sensor is mounted to an end shield of the electric motor. A sensor wheel for the rotational speed sensor is mounted to a clutch of the electric motor.

Electric motor and rail vehicle

An arrangement for a rail vehicle has an electric hollow-shaft motor with a hollow rotor and a wheelset shaft that runs through the hollow rotor. The rotor is separated from the wheelset shaft at least in certain sections by a radial air gap which ensures a mechanical clearance between the wheelset shaft and the rotor. A protective material is arranged in the region of the radial air gap between the rotor and the wheelset shaft. The protective material, in the event of failure of a motor fastening of the hollow-shaft motor and subsequent support of the rotor on the wheelset shaft, separates the rotor from the wheelset shaft. The protective material is softer than the material of the wheelset shaft and softer than at least one material of the rotor.

Arrangement for a rail vehicle

A bogie of a rail vehicle has at least one wheelset with two oppositely situated wheels that are rigidly connected to one another, a wheelset bearing arrangement of the wheelset within the two wheels, a traction motor which directly drives the wheelset, and an aerodynamic paneling enclosure of the bogie. The traction motor is a permanently excited synchronous motor with liquid cooling.

An electrical machine has a braking element and a release device. A rotor of the electrical machine includes the braking element and release device. The electrical machine is located, for example, in a rail vehicle. In order to brake the rotor of the electrical machine in the event of an error in the drive train, an overload torque is generated by the electrical machine. An overload clutch is triggered by the overload torque.

Safe electrical machine

A dynamo-electric machine includes a laminated stator, a laminated rotor and a winding system disposed in the laminated stator and/or the laminated rotor and forming a winding overhang on end faces of the laminated stator and/or laminated rotor. The winding system includes a signaling line to detect interturn faults generated by a high heat. An insulation of signaling lines or a wire of the signaling lines is configured to be temperature-sensitive so that a melting point of the insulation or of the wire is about 30 degrees Kelvin above the temperature class of the dynamo-electric machine.
