A kitchen appliance for food processing, which has a drive shaft, a working part, preferably having a blade, which is provided on the drive shaft, a protective hood having multiple cut-outs in the circumferential direction, which protective hood surrounds the working part and has an opening in the axial direction of the drive shaft, and a preferably cylindrical accessory element. The accessory element has an outer body having a first axial end face and a second, opposite axial end face, and the protective hood, by cooperation with the accessory element, defines a cavity for processing foods which is closed in the circumferential direction of the protective hood. The outer body further has multiple, protrusions projecting inwards in the radial direction, which protrusions can be operatively connected to the cut-outs in the protective hood.

The invention relates to a hand-held electrically driven domestic appliance and to a corresponding method for controlling the hand-held electrically driven domestic appliance. The domestic appliance includes an electric motor for driving the domestic appliance; a control unit for controlling the motor; a first actuation element for outputting a first control signal to the control unit in order to select a motor control mode; and a second actuation element for outputting a second control signal to the control unit. The control unit is designed to select a motor actuation mode from the specified motor actuation modes on the basis of the first control signal, and the control unit is designed to determine a motor actuation signal to be output to the motor on the basis of the selected motor actuation mode and the second control signal.

The fabric treating system also comprises a support member positioned proximate to the first wall. The fabric treating system also comprises a fabric tensioning system positioned at least on the second wall. The fabric tensioning system comprises at least a first fabric grasper configured to be attached to at least a first portion of the piece of fabric to apply tension to the piece of fabric.

A shaving unit for a dry shaver includes at least one outer cutter and one under cutter. Driven by a motor, the outer cutter and the under cutter are movable relative to each other in an oscillatory motion. The under cutter and the outer cutter, which are biased into relative engagement by at least one spring, slide along a common contact surface. The spring is arranged in such a way that its biasing force always acts at an angle to the direction of oscillation.

The primary electrical device includes a first connector configured to couple with an associated connector of the auxiliary device to transmit electrical or electromagnetic energy between the devices. The primary electrical device includes an additional connector configured to couple the primary electrical device for receiving electrical or electromagnetic energy, such as from an electric mains voltage.

A device for refreshing fabrics by reducing malodors and/or wrinkles without requiring that the fabrics to be put through an entire standard laundry process. The device comprises an extractable drawer which is pulled out of the device to allow for loading of a fabric into a receiving region. The extractable drawer can then be closed transporting the fabric into the interior of the device. A fabric treatment composition is sprayed or otherwise dispensed onto the fabrics when the device is operated. The device comprises an air flow path and a heating element which allows for the fabrics to be treated during use and comprises a passive heat management system within the shell to minimize formation of hot spots and direct air flow away from the side walls. The extractable drawer of the present invention can be positioned to extract laterally or vertically out of the shell of the device.

Passive heat management system

The present invention is directed to an electric shaver having a shaver housing, and a shaving head housing that is connected to the shaver housing for pivotal movement between two end positions. The shaving head housing carries at least two shaving assemblies, of which at least one shaving assembly is retractable into the housing to a first, retracted position, and elastically biased toward a second, extended position, such that extension of the at least one shaving assembly is a function of contact pressure applied by a user. Actuating elements carried by the shaving head housing control a maximum degree of extension of the at least one shaving assembly as a function of a pivot angle between the shaver housing and the shaving head housing.

Electric shaver

An electric shaver has a pivotally mounted longhair cutter unit that is pivoted outward into an operating position by motion of an operating switch of the shaver via an actuator that also causes the cutting blades of the longhair cutter unit to extend from the longhair cutter housing. Because the longhair cutter retracts into the longhair cutter housing when the longhair cutter unit is folded shut, the sharp edges of the blades are protected.
