The invention relates to a process for the production of a mixture of compounds that comprises for the most part at least one mono-alkylbenzene that belongs to the group that is formed by the 2-, 3-, 4-, 5- and 6-phenylalkanes by alkylation of benzene with at least one monoolefin that comprises at least two carbon atoms in its molecule, in the presence of a catalyst that comprises 12-tungstophosphoric acid and/or 12-tungstomolybdic acid, deposited on a substrate that develops a large specific surface area and a high pore volume and that comprises a majority proportion of zirconium oxide (ZrO).

The present invention concerns, in the dehydroisomerization of at least one C.sub.4 -C.sub.5 n-paraffin, preferably n-butane, the use of a catalyst comprising a refractory oxide based support, preferably an alumina, at least one precious metal from group VIII, preferably platinum or palladium, optionally at least one element from group IVB such as titanium or zirconium, preferably titanium, optionally at least one element from the group formed by germanium, tin, lead, rhenium, tungsten and indium, and optionally at least one halogen such as chlorine. The present invention also concerns the regeneration of this catalyst.

Catalytic dehydroisomerization of C.sub.4 -C.sub.5 n-paraffins

The invention concerns a process for skeletal isomerization of linear olefins using a catalyst containing at least one pre-treated molecular sieve selected from the group formed by SAPO-31, SAPO-11, Theta-1, EU-1, omega zeolite, mordenite, Nu-10, Nu-86, Nu-87, ferrierite, ZSM-12 and ZSM-23. The pre-treatment process consists in bringing the molecular sieve, which has a pore size of 0.4 to 0.8 nm, into contact with at least one hydrocarbon molecule containing 4 to 20 carbon atoms, at a space velocity of 0.1-45 h.sup.-1, a temperature of 300.degree.-550.degree. C. and at a pressure of 0.1-1 MPa, for 0.5-48 h, to deposit coke in the pores. The process is of particular application to one-dimensional sieves. It is preferably carried out outside the reaction zone. The invention also concerns a catalyst containing a pre-treated sieve, the sieve being selected from SAPO-31, SAPO-11, Theta-1, EU-1, omega zeolite, mordenite, ferrierite, Nu-10, Nu-86 and Nu-87.

Process for skeletal isomerization of linear olefins using a pretreated

The invention is concerned with a process for treating a charge of which the major part is constituted by hydrocarbons comprising at least 5 carbon atoms per molecule and comprising at least one unsaturated compound comprising at the most six carbon atoms per molecule including benzene, such that said charge is treated in a distillation zone, comprising a drainage zone and a stripping zone, associated with a hydrogenation reaction zone, comprising at least one catalytic bed, in which hydrogenation is carried out of at least part of the unsaturated compounds comprising at the most six carbon atoms per molecule and contained in the charge, the charge of said reaction zone being removed at the height of a removal level and representing at least a part of the liquid flowing in the distillation zone, the effluent of the reaction zone being at least partly reintroduced into the distillation zone, in such a way as to ensure the continuity of the distillation operation and in such a way as to remove from the top of the distillation zone an effluent with a very depleted content of unsaturated compounds comprising at the most 6 carbon atoms per molecule, and at the bottom of the distillation zone an effluent with a depleted content of unsaturated compounds comprising at the most six carbon atoms per molecule, said process being characterized in that the hydrogenation zone is at least partly outside the distillation zone.

Continuous process for the skeletal isomerization of n-olefins containing at the most 20 carbon atoms, in the presence of a catalyst essentially constituted by alumina and titanium, in which a charge containing the said n-olefins is made to flow through at least one fluidized bed reaction zone, the catalyst flowing into each reaction zone. The catalyst drawn off from the final reaction zone is passed into a regeneration zone, at the outlet of which it is passed into a zone where it undergoes a steam treatment prior to its reintroduction into the first reaction zone. The process is performed in the presence of steam, so that the catalyst is in contact with 3 to 85 wt. % (based on the catalyst weight) of steam.
