An automotive lighting device including a light source, a driver arranged to control the operation of the light source, a housing, a desiccant salt and a separating element. The driver includes a driver cover arranged to dissipate the heat generated by the driver. The housing includes a housing wall and a ventilation element located in the housing wall, the ventilation element being configured to allow water vapour to exit the housing. The desiccant salt is arranged in thermal contact with the driver cover. The separating element is provided between the desiccant salt and the light source. A method for controlling the operation of the separating element is also provided.

Automotive lighting device and method for controlling an element thereof

A luminous module includes a light source and an optical part for shaping the light rays emitted by the light source. The light source is a semiconductor source that includes a plurality of electroluminescent units of submillimeter dimensions, and at least one positioning outgrowth configured to participate in the positioning of the light source on an optical part. The light source is positioned with respect to the optical part by interaction of the at least one positioning outgrowth with a corresponding receiving orifice formed in the optical part.

The invention notably relates to a light-emitting module of a terrestrial vehicle having at least one semiconductor light source including a mostly semiconductor material substrate, the substrate having a first face and a second face. The light source further includes electroluminescent elements with submillimeter dimensions extending from the first face of the substrate, and at least one heatsink cooperating with the second face of the substrate to evacuate the heat produced by the light source. The invention therefore offers an improved light-emitting module for terrestrial vehicles.

A vehicle lighting device component that comprises a component body having at least one fastening means for fastening the component. The device has a bearing element secured to the body that is separate from the fastening means, and comprises a bearing surface. The vehicle lighting device component is intended to bear against the bearing surface when it is fastened. The bearing element and the body are designed such that the bearing surface is able to move with respect to the body. The device also comprises a damper that is able to damp a movement of the body to move it toward or away from the bearing surface.

A heat exchange device for an automotive vehicle. In one embodiment, the heat exchange device has at least one metal foam and a thermal member, in direct contact with the metal foam, enabling heat exchange between the thermal member and the metal foam. The at least one metal foam is assembled together with the thermal member mechanically which causes a local deformation at a joint where the thermal member engages the at least one metal foam.
