A measuring device for testing mobile-radio relay stations provides at least one antenna and a processing unit. A base station or a mobile station transmits a first signal to a relay station. The relay station generates a second signal derived from the first signal and transmits it. The antenna of the measuring device receives the first signal and the second signal. The processing unit of the measuring device compares the received signals.

Measuring device and a measuring method for testing mobile-radio relay stations

A radio communication network having at least two base stations. The base stations communicate with mobile stations using time slots. The time slots are divided into transmission slots, during which the base stations transmit messages, and receiving slots, during which the base stations receive messages. A method for improved determination of the position of a user device in a mobile-radio network is provided. In combination with adjacent, second user devices, the method is intended to achieve a relatively-accurate positioning even if only a relatively-inaccurate positioning method is available for the user device itself, especially if the latter is disposed inside a building. An absolute position of a second user device is determined with a first position-determining method. A relative position of the first user device relative to the second user device is then determined with a second position-determining method. Method and device for determination of the position of a terminal in a mobile communication network

A measuring system is used for testing a feedback signal transmitted by a communications device within a communications system. The measuring system comprises an antenna system and a measuring device. The measuring device transmits a signal to a communications device via the air interface and the antenna system. The communications device receives the signal and generates a feedback signal dependent upon transmission conditions of the signal, which it has determined, and transmits it to the measuring device. The measuring device measures the actual reception quality of the signal in the communications device.
