An electronic device includes a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. A torque-optional hinge connects the third portion to the second portion, and a support hinge connects the third portion to the first portion. The torque-optional hinge has a hinge axis and a means for selectively generating a torque around the hinge axis. The means for selectively generating the torque has a high-torque state and a low-torque state. The high-torque state provides a greater rotational resistance around the hinge axis than the low-torque state. The support hinge rotatably connects the first portion and the third portion and provides a torque around a support axis.

Examples are disclosed that relate to the rotational mounting of a display device to another supporting structure, such as a stand or a wall. One example provides a system comprising a display device, a support structure configured to be mounted to another structure to thereby support the display device on the other structure, and a mechanical interface rotationally connecting the display device and the support structure. The mechanical interface comprises three or more rail segments including a cam rail segment comprising a cam, and for each rail segment, one or more corresponding rollers, a roller for the cam rail segment being a follower and being coupled with a spring configured to bias the follower toward the cam rail segment.

A display positioning assembly comprises a base portion and a display portion. The base portion comprises a base ferromagnetic component moveably retained within the base portion. The display portion comprises a display ferromagnetic component. The display portion is moveably coupled to the base portion. One or both of the base ferromagnetic component and display ferromagnetic component is a magnet.

Technologies are described for an audio jack housing configured to concentrically align with an opening in a chassis of a computing device and to accept a plug associated with external audio components. When the housing is aligned with the opening, a snout of the audio jack housing abuts an interior surface of the opening and does not protrude into the opening. The chassis where the opening is located may be constructed from a plastic material to reduce a risk of shorting-out when a metal plug is inserted into the housing. The chassis may include alignment features to concentrically align the audio jack housing with the opening during assembly, such that interior edges of the opening and interior edges of the snout are flush creating a smooth interior entry into the audio jack housing through the opening and the snout.
