In one example of the disclosure, a printer includes a printhead having a set of nozzles. Printing ejection of marking agent is caused upon a media to print each of a set of pages of a print job. An initial page spit is caused to occur at the printhead prior to the printing engine causing printing of an initial page of the print job. A between-pages spit is caused to occur at the printhead between printing of pages of the print job. Responsive to a determination that a predetermined period between printing of a page and a consecutive page of the print job has been exceeded, a gap spit is caused to occur at the printhead in lieu of a between-pages spit.

Example implementations relate to wiping die nozzles of fluid ejection dies. For example, a printing device may be directed by execution of stored instructions to eject a droplet in a first direction from an opening in a die nozzle toward a location of an absorbent wipe material and to wipe the opening concurrently with the droplet being ejected from the opening.

An image forming apparatus includes a substrate receiving member, a fluid applicator unit, and an air recirculator assembly. The substrate receiving member may selectively receive a substrate. The fluid applicator unit may selectively eject a first set of drops to the substrate received by the substrate receiving member in a print mode and a second set of drops in a maintenance mode. The air recirculater assembly may direct air to form an air barrier across the print zone to redirect at least one of aerosol and particulates from crossing through the air barrier and onto the substrate, to filter the at least one of the aerosol and particulates to form filtered air, and to form the air barrier with the filtered air.
