An electrically conductive pipette tip having an elongated tubular body that has a bottom opening at the bottom end for the passage of liquid, and a top opening at the top end for the passage of air, and a passageway between the bottom opening and the top opening, wherein the body has at least one electrically-conductive region extending from the bottom opening to the top opening, and at least one transparent region consisting of plastic that extends from the passageway to the outside of the body.

Electrically conductive pipette tip

Filter pipette tip with a small tube with a relatively large aperture at one end for attaching to a pipette, a relatively small aperture at the other end for the passage of liquid and a through-channel between the large aperture and the small aperture and a porous filter arranged in the through-channel, filling up a portion of the through-channel and comprising at least two layers arranged in series in the direction of the through-channel of which a fine-pore layer has a pore size of a maximum of approximately 20 &#x3bc;m and a coarse-pore layer a pore size of approximately 20 to 50 &#x3bc;m, the two layers having different pore sizes.

Filter pipette tip

A porous media, a housing containing a porous media and methods for fabricating the housing containing a porous media are provided. The porous media is composed of varying amounts of sorptive binding particles in combination with polymer particles, for example silica particles mixed with polyethylene beads. The porous media is sintered into target housings, for example pipette tips, for use in desalting, purifying and separating biomolecules in target samples. The porous media is also formed into porous media discs via pressure and heating for insertion into housing devices.
