A flight condition determination device, in particular for autonomous use in an aircraft without connection to avionics systems, includes a housing, a triaxial acceleration sensor installed in the housing, a processor, which is coupled to the triaxial acceleration sensor and installed in the housing, a working memory coupled to the processor, and a power supply unit integrated in the housing, having a power supply socket, via which the flight condition determination device is connectable to an electrical energy supply source of an aircraft. The processor is configured to evaluate acceleration values continuously received from the triaxial acceleration sensor and to determine a flight condition signal from the evaluated acceleration values.

The invention relates to a communication system and a method for controlling a communication system for communicating audio data between each of a plurality of terminal units (T-T). In order to provide a deterministic communication protocol with lowest possible overhead and a system for implementing same said method is characterized by the steps of: examining an identity of said terminal units (T-T) by said central unit () during an initialization phase; transmitting a predetermined data frame including a first synchronization signal, a terminal unit address of a respective terminal unit, a payload field and a second synchronization signal by said central unit () via said master bus () during a configuration phase; and transmitting audio data through said data bus () by one of said plurality of terminal units (T-T) within an audio sample time interval that corresponds to the interval between said first synchronization signal and said second synchronization signal.

Deterministic communication system

A circuit arrangement can carry out a method for controlling the light transmission of an electrochromic glass that involves generating a control voltage that is applied to the electrochromic glass to bring about a desired transparency or lack of transparency. The method optimizes, i.e. minimizes, the electrical energy that must be applied to the electrochromic glass, with respect to magnitude and duration, while achieving the desired degree of transparency very quickly. The actual voltage on the glass is measured at certain intervals and compared with a reference voltage that corresponds to a desired light transmission. A control voltage of positive or negative polarity is applied to the electrochromic glass for a certain charging or discharging period, depending on the deviation of the actual voltage from the reference value, and the actual voltage on the glass is again measured and compared with the reference voltage. These steps are repeated until the actual voltage on the glass is substantially equal to the reference voltage. The control voltage is then switched off or reduced such that no control current flows in the glass, until a subsequent measurement determines that the actual voltage has fallen below the reference voltage by more than an acceptable threshold difference amount, at which point the control voltage is again switched on.
