A distributed antenna system for transceiving radio signals in several frequency ranges is described. The system comprises a control unit with at least one first port for forwarding first radio signals in a first frequency range and one second port for forwarding second radio signals in a second frequency range. A plurality of remote units is connected to the control unit via a distributor network. The remote units have first antenna elements for transceiving the radio signals in the first frequency range and second antenna elements for transceiving the radio signals in the second frequency range. The control unit comprises a modulator for converting the second radio signals to a further frequency range and the remote units have a demodulator for converting the second radio signals from the further frequency range to a different frequency range.

A mobile communications transmission system provides a plurality of mobile communications cells in a building or campus. It comprises a first baseband unit and a first gateway device, which is connectable to a data network. At least one transceiver unit is connected to the first baseband unit. The at least one transceiver unit is configured to provide at least one first mobile communications cell. By way of this first mobile communications cell, a subscriber device in the building can exchange information with the data network. A first control device is connected to the first baseband unit and the first gateway device. The first baseband unit and the first gateway device are installed in the building or campus in which the at least one transceiver unit provides the at least one first mobile communications cell, whereas the first control device is accommodated remote therefrom at an operating company.

A distributed antenna system with a plurality of remote radio units is disclosed. The distributed antenna system includes a jammer signal generator for generating a jammer signal in at least one frequency range to be blocked on detection of an uplink signal in a coverage area, as well as at least one antenna element for transmitting the generated jammer signal in the coverage area. The jammer signal will ensure that any mobile devices or stations within the coverage area are unable to transmit radio signals as the frequency range(s) on which the radio signals should be transmitted are blocked by the jammer signal.
