A method for silaging harvested crops includes distributing and compacting silage consisting of shredded foliage plants in a silo. The silo is then sealed and then fermented in the silo. At least one part of the silage is flushed with an inert gas after an aerobic phase of the fermentation is detected with a first sensor. The inert gas may also be introduced into the silage if a penetration of atmospheric oxygen is detected in the silage with a second sensor.

Method and arrangement for producing silage

A sensor arrangement for detecting a density of harvested crops deposited as silage in a silo includes a source of a pressurized gaseous medium and an opening connected by a line to the source and which is movable along a surface of the silage. The gaseous medium is guided out of the opening from the source into the silage. The arrangement further includes a sensor for detecting a property of the medium flowing through the line, and an evaluation device connected to the sensor for providing an output signal containing information based on the signal of the sensor regarding the density of the silage.

Loader stability system

A system for predictive chassis control including a wheel-spring device controllable with respect to a damping or suspension characteristic, a sensor for ascertaining a force profile of a disturbance acting on the wheel-spring device, and a navigation for ascertaining a current geoposition of the off-road utility vehicle in the form of an associated position data. The system includes a memory unit and a control unit for saving the force profile induced by the disturbance or a quantity derived therefrom. The control unit detects an imminent renewed crossing of the disturbance by continuous reconciliation of the current geoposition received from the navigation with the saved position data. The control unit adapts the damping or suspension characteristic on the basis of the saved force profile or the quantity derived therefrom by a pilot control of the wheel-spring device to compensate for an influence of the disturbance on the wheel-spring device.

System for predictive chassis control for an off-road utility vehicle

A device for influencing vertical dynamics of an agricultural vehicle includes a mass mounted on the agricultural vehicle, a positioning system for controlling movement of the mass in vertical direction, a sensor device configured to detect a surface profile of an upcoming vehicle path segment, and an electronic control unit adapted to calculate an expected disturbance input for the upcoming vehicle path segment based on the detected surface profile. The electronic control unit operably controls the positioning system to execute a compensation movement of the vehicle that reduces the expected disturbance input by means of the mass.

Device for influencing the vertical dynamics of an agricultural vehicle

A suspension system for a vehicle axle including at least one hydraulic suspension cylinder, which has at least one chamber, with the chamber being connected to a hydraulic accumulator and allowing a connection via switching arrangement as well as to a pressure source and a pressure release. A shut-off valve is arranged between the chamber and the accumulator, by which the suspension can be blocked. In order to avoid during the unblocking process that any sudden compensating motion of the axle suspension develops, here the suspension system includes at least one detection device connected to the chamber of the suspension cylinder and the accumulator, which is embodied to detect the pressure difference between the chamber and the accumulator. This way a pressure difference can be reliably detected at both sides of the shut-off valve, thus between the chamber of the suspension cylinder and the accumulator, and can be compensated in a targeted fashion during or before the opening of the shut-off valve for unblocking the suspension.

Suspension system for a vehicle axle

A vehicle includes a support structure and a suspension for an oscillatingly supported, rigid axle body. The suspension has a suspension device which is located between the axle body and the support structure and acts in a height direction of the vehicle. The vehicle further includes a plurality of coupling sites and a transverse link extending in a transverse direction of the vehicle. The transverse link is coupled to the support structure via a first link area and via a second link area and a pendulum support to the axle body. The transverse link includes a third link area which, with reference to the pendulum support in the transverse direction of the vehicle, is located opposite the first link area and is flexibly connected with a coupling site of the suspension device.

Vehicle with axle suspension

A control device of a vehicle suspension has a suspension device mounted between a supporting vehicle structure and a vehicle part that is movably mounted. The control device includes a blocking device for blocking a compression or rebound motion occurring at the suspension device in correspondence with a blocking command transmitted to a control unit. The control unit determines a characteristic weight value for a current loading of the suspension device when the blocking command is set and stores it as a pertinent value in a memory unit. The control unit determines a value for the weight when the blocking command is reset in order to cancel a blocking of the suspension device according to the result of a comparison with the value stored in the memory unit.

Control device of a vehicle suspension

A work vehicle includes a front axle, a rear axle, a chassis, a cab pivotally coupled to the chassis, a boom movably mounted on the chassis, and a boom cylinder for raising and lowering the boom. A rear suspension member raises and lowers the cab with respect to the rear axle. A front suspension member raises and lowers the chassis and the cab with respect to the front axle. An operator controlled command unit generates boom raise and lower signals. An electronic control unit (ECU) is connected to the front suspension member, the rear suspension member and the command unit. If vehicle speed is below a threshold speed, the ECU automatically operates the front and/or the rear suspension members to raise and lower the cab to improve visibility of the loader from the cab in response to the command unit operating the boom.
