In a method for monitoring a winding temperature of a winding of an electric machine powered by a converter, a heating power applied to the winding of the electric machine is determined and evaluated using a thermal model. A relative increase in a resistance of the winding, when the winding heats up, is determined from the heating power in comparison with a standard reference value for 20° C. winding temperature. The winding temperature is calculated from the relative increase in the resistance, and a warning signal and/or a switch-off signal is generated when a critical winding temperature value is exceeded.

Method for monitoring a coil temperature

An electrical machine includes a stator coupled to a machine frame and constructed to produce a magnetic field. A rotor which is connected to a shaft magnetically interacts with the stator and is separated there from by an air gap which is arranged such that the magnetic field within the air gap is directed essentially parallel to the shaft axis during operation of the electrical machine. Arranged between the rotor and the stator is an axial bearing which absorbs attraction forces acting between the stator and the rotor in a direction of the shaft axis. An elastic coupling mechanically couples the stator to the machine frame and is made less stiff than the axial bearing with respect to a force acting in the direction of the shaft axis, and constructed such that a force acting on the rotor in the direction of the shaft axis is able to cause the stator to be translated with respect to the machine frame in the direction of the shaft axis.

Bearing concept for segment motors

The invention relates to a primary component () for an electric motor (), said primary component () being formed from at least one bundle of laminations () and comprises at least one flux guiding element () on one or both front faces (S, S) to reduce the ripple effect, said primary component () being separated from a secondary component () by a first air gap (&#x3b4;). The primary component () has at least one section (&#x3b4;) in the region of the flux guiding element (), said section (&#x3b4;) being electrically non-conducting (K=0) and having a negligibly low magnetic permeability (&#x3bc;&#x2245;1).

Linear motor with force ripple compensation

The invention relates to a primary part () for an electrical machine (), with the primary part () being formed at least from a laminated core () and having at least one element () for reduction of the force ripple adjacent to one or both of its respective end faces (S, S), with the element () being electrically conductive (&#x3ba;&#x3e;0) and having negligibly low magnetic permeability (&#x3bc;&#x2245;1).

A linear electric motor including a primary part having a flux guiding element on the end faces of the primary part, a three-phase winding on the primary part that produces a first magnetic field and a permanent magnet on each end face that produces a second magnetic field that is superimposed on the first field to reduce force ripple is disclosed. The primary part has tooth modules and also end-tooth modules. The end-tooth modules have no winding, are located on the end face, and are smaller in volume than and shaped differently from the tooth modules. The primary part is separated from a secondary part by an air gap, and the end-tooth modules are separated from the secondary part by an additional air gap.

Primary part and linear electrical machine with force ripple compensation

A linear or rotating electric synchronous machine includes a reluctance-secondary part, and a primary part, provided with a coil and permanent magnets. The primary part has teeth, with each tooth surrounded by a coil defining a coil axis. Arranged in each tooth is a permanent magnet which is surrounded by the coil and extends extending in parallel relationship to the coil axis of the coil. The secondary part is constructed for guiding a magnetic field and has teeth which define with the teeth of the primary part an air gap. The permanent magnet defines a magnetization direction in parallel to an air gap plane of the air gap, with the magnetization direction reversing from tooth to tooth.

Electric machine

A secondary part of an electric machine has a toothed profile, with at least one tooth being unlaminated. The at least one tooth is made of at least two materials, wherein the at least one tooth forms a cavity which is filled with an iron-containing material representing one of the two materials.
