In order to create an engine more preferably for a small working machine, for example for garden, forest and landscape work or for an engine-operated tool and the like, with a carburettor unit for mixture provision, in which carburettor unit via an inlet pipe is connected with a cylinder of the engine, wherein the cylinder extends along its piston running direction from its crankcase side as far as to its head end, and wherein a holding device is provided which serves for the mechanical holding of at least the carburettor unit and at least comprises an elastic element with an improved arrangement of the carburettor unit and easy removability of the carburettor, i.e. simple assembly and disassembly, it is proposed that the holding device with the at least one elastic element is provided between the carburettor unit and the cylinder and that the holding device is arranged above the inlet pipe in the direction towards the head end of the cylinder in such a manner that a suspended arrangement of the carburettor unit on the cylinder is formed.

A work implement in the nature of a drive for a tool includes a starting and/or switching-off braking device for the tool. A brake button is provided which can be externally actuated by a user, with which a starting and/or switching-off brake can be released. A device is also provided which can change the rotational speed of the drive, the device having a throttle button capable of being actuated by the user from outside. The brake button and the throttle button are arranged on a handle so that they can be contacted simultaneously by the hand of a user, where the throttle button can be actuated when the starting and/or switching-off brake is applied.

In order to make available a clutch drum, which is connected to a toothed wheel, in particular a toothed wheel designed as a chain wheel for a motor saw, wherein a non-detachable connection of the toothed wheel and clutch drum is associated with a positive connection, and wherein the connection of the clutch drum and toothed wheel is a low cost, durable and reliable connection, it is proposed that the clutch drum is provided with a recess, wherein a rigid connection is provided between the toothed wheel and the clutch drum, which is welded from inside the clutch drum.

The invention entails a handle for a pull-rope starter of a drive motor, especially of a chain saw. The invention includes at least one handle section, at least one fastening section for a starter rope, and a damping for smoothing out force peaks produced in the handle during the starting of the drive motor. The damping is arranged in the handle section.

In order to improve a limiter cap (') for limiting the adjustability of at least two set screws or valves (), which are arranged side by side, with each set screw or valve () including at least one retaining nose or stop leg (), extending in the transition area between the screw head () and the screw needle or valve needle () in a ring shape around the external circumference of the screw needle or valve needle (), in particular for limiting the adjustment of the fuel flow through a carburetor (&#x2032;), in such a way that inadvertently pushing the limiter cap onto the screw needle thus prematurely blocking said screw needle, already at the time when the (basic) carburetor adjustment takes place, is safely prevented, it is proposed that the limiting cap (&#x2032;) is attached to each of the set screws () in particular in a way so as to be self-attaching, and/or in particular such that the limiter caps (&#x2032;) engage each other with locking action, and/or without any further auxiliary means or without any further supplementary part.

A tank cap has an upper longish handle portion engageable by a user's hand to open and close the cap relative to the tank. The handle also has, on each of its two sides, an indentation into which a screwdriver or the like can be inserted to aid in rotating the cap in the opening direction, the indentation being shaped so that if the inserted screwdriver is moved in the direction corresponding to closing of the cap the screwdriver will be cammed out of the indentation without over-tightening the cap in the closing direction.

The invention relates to a case seal ( ) for cross-divided crank cases, comprising an upper section ( ) and a lower shell ( ) (see figure). Both halves of the crank case have bearing seats ( ) for bearing ( ) a shaft. To improve a carburetor including a main housing portion (12), in which a Venturi tube (2) and a throttling part (2a) are defined and which has an air intake side and an engine exit side, and a fuel pump (5) to the effect that, on the other hand a better starting procedure is provided and, on the other hand, the carburetor and, consequently, the engine are reliably prevented from getting flooded, it is suggested to supply fuel to the fuel pump (5) via a fuel intake (8) which is connected to the fuel tank (63) through a fuel line (64), and a fuel vapor supply (or vent) line (60) is provided which with its one end (61) is connected to the fuel intake feed channel (28) and with its other end (62) is connected to the fuel tank (63), and that in the route of the fuel vapor supply line (60) a check valve (66) is provided.
