A mobility securement system, and method configured to secure a wheelchair or other mobility device, and its passenger, within a public or private vehicle. In various embodiments, the system includes one or two attachment members, one or two vehicle anchor assemblies and, potentially, at least one fixed or moveable bumper, and may further include a barrier. A tensioning assembly is operably connected to at least one attachment member and vehicle anchor assembly. One or more moveable bumpers are configured to articulate to apply a force against the mobility device, and one attachment member may be hidden behind a stored position of a moveable bumper.

Mobility securement system

Provided is a design for an emergency vehicle seat equipped with an adjustable seat back assembly and a multiple restraint release mechanism for simultaneously releasing multiple seat belt restraints while also releasing a bracket member of a mounting apparatus to enable the release of a cylindrical tank being transported in the vehicle seat. The tank is a part of a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) worn on the back of the occupant of the vehicle seat.

The mobility securement system may further include a rear barrier which may move, swivel or articulate.

A seat assembly having a front and a back and adapted to be attached to a floor comprises a seat base and a seat back attached to the seat base, a seat belt mechanism attached to the seat base and free of the floor, a blast mitigation device attached to the seat base and adapted to be secured to the floor, wherein the blast mitigation device has a crumple zone which absorbs energy in the event of a blast, and a front impact dislocation resistance device mounted on the blast mitigation device with a pair of brackets. The front impact dislocation resistance device acts to resist separation of the seat base from the blast mitigation device.

A sliding support of the type which mounts to and traverses along a vertical support structure. The sliding support is comprised of a track, a sliding structure which is vertically supported and a non-lubricating bearing material. The track defines an interior channel which is co-extensive to the distance traversed by the sliding support and an aperture, opposite the support structure, and in communication with the internal channel. The sliding structure has a slide means located in the channel and overlying the aperture. A horizontal support means is secured to the slide means and extends through the aperture. A vertical support means is secured to the horizontal support means and maintains the horizontal support means in a horizontal plane. The non-lubricated bearing material is positioned in the channel between the channel and the slide means.
