An aerodynamic braking device for a payload casing intended to be ejected from a projectile on its trajectory including at least one parachute connected to the casing by hangers, the parachute and the parachute hangers being housed in a sleeve. The sleeve is wound around an axis of winding perpendicular to its longitudinal direction and attached to a cylindrical housing the axis of which is parallel to the axis of winding, which housing is itself secured to a shell base that closes off the projectile, the hangers being connected to the casing by an extension cable which is wound around the axis of the housing and attached thereto by at least three peripheral break lines which are uniformly angularly distributed.

Aerodynamic braking device for a payload casing

An artillery projectile is configured to have a trajectory comprising a ballistic phase and a piloted phase. This projectile has at least one means ensuring its aerodynamic stabilization on part or all of its trajectory and a means configured to ensure a piloting during the piloted phase. This projectile is characterized in that the aerodynamic stabilization means comprises a wing system having at least two wings which are able to be positioned with respect to the axis of the projectile, at least during the piloted phase, with their sweepback angles being negative, that is, with the free ends of the wings being oriented towards the front of the projectile.

The invention relates to a locking device for a deployable surface or fin of a projectile characterized in that it incorporates at least one flexible tongue, one end of which protrudes in the groove, a recess to the side of the groove enabling the tongue to bend in a first direction to enable the fin to enter the groove.

A deployment device for a fin of a projectile incorporating a hinge fixed to the projectile body which allows said fin to make a pivoting movement along at least one axis, wherein said hinge comprises a support for said fin mounted able to tilt over with respect to an axis substantially perpendicular to the projectile axis, said fin being linked to said support by a rod whose axis is substantially parallel to said projectile axis when said fin is in the folded position and substantially perpendicular to said projectile axis when said fin is in the deployed position, said rod itself being able to pivot with respect to said fin support when such said support tilts over, this pivoting of said rod being controlled by driving means.

The pallet is oriented to receive an aerodynamic flow when the projectile is fired and thus transfers a resultant strain to the fin to deploy it away from the projectile.
