A method for determining a rotation variable of a rotatably mounted rotor of a mechanically commutated electric motor, having a motor current path formed between two brush elements of the electric motor, and leading via the commutator bars contacted by the brush elements, and via coil windings of the rotor electrically connected to said commutator bars, wherein an oscillating input signal is fed into the motor current path and the rotation variable is determined with the aid of a ripple of a resultant output signal, said ripple being due to the mechanical commutation of the motor current path.

An electric arrangement which, for controlling at least two electric motors, has at least one first H-bridge arrangement and a second H-bridge arrangement, is provided. The electric arrangement comprises a first electric motor, which is electrically connected to a first switching element, a second switching element, a third switching element and a fourth switching element in the first H-bridge arrangement. A method operates a brushed commutator motor of an adjusting drive in a motor vehicle, particularly a window lifter, having a rotor and having a stator. An angular position of the rotor with respect to the stator is determined. The angular position is used to determine a ripple within the torque, which ripple can be expected on the basis of the commutation. The motor current is adapted such that the amplitude of the ripple that can be expected remains below a determined limit value.

In order to determine the actuation position of a motor-driven adjusting element of a motor vehicle, a Hall-effect sensor is located in a rotatable magnetic field, wherein a periodic change in the magnetic flux density sensed by the Hall-effect sensor is converted into a binary pulse train in that a pulse transition takes place when an upper switching threshold is positively exceeded and when a lower switching threshold separated from the upper switching threshold by a hysteresis is negatively exceeded. The hysteresis is reduced following an inactive phase of the Hall-effect sensor during which the magnetic field was stationary and/or the Hall-effect sensor was deactivated, if the magnetic flux density at the start of the inactive phase has exceeded the upper switching threshold by no more than a predefined tolerance range.
