The present disclosure relates to a process for the manufacturing of a 3-5 halopropionylhalide, wherein the process comprises the steps of: a) providing a flow reactor comprising a reaction chamber; b) providing reactants comprising: i. acrylic acid; ii. a reaction co-agent selected from the group consisting of N,N-0 disubstituted amides; and iii. a halogenating agent; and c) incorporating the reactants into the reaction chamber of the flow reactor, thereby forming a reaction product stream comprising a 3-halopropionyl-halide; wherein the molar ratio of acrylic acid to the halogenating agent is 1 to at least 5 0.8; wherein the temperature of the reaction chamber of the flow reactor is greater than 60&#xb0; C.; and wherein the residence time of the reaction product stream comprising the 3-halopropionylhalide in the reaction chamber of the flow reactor is greater than 10 minutes.

Process for the manufacturing of a 3-halopropionyl halide in a flow reactor

The present invention relates to compounds which can be used to control plant development. Indeed, the present invention discloses a new class of pyrabactin analogues which have a physiological effect on&#x2014;for example&#x2014;seed germination, and/or stomatal closure, and/or have developmental effects on root and shoot development and organogenesis. Hence, the latter compounds can be used to control plant development such as&#x2014;for example&#x2014;increasing the tolerance of plants to drought stress or to control physiological phenomena such as pre-harvest sprouting, tolerance to pathogens etc.

Pyrabactin analogues to modulate plant development

The disclosure relates to efficient methods of controlling biological conversions while simultaneously removing and converting some of the generated products. More specifically, and, for example, the disclosure discloses electrochemical processes to remove and capture potentially toxic ammonium during anaerobic digestions and to remove and capture carboxylic acids during bioethanol production. The disclosure can, thus, be used to enhance bioproduction processes via controlling pH and/or reduction/oxidation, in combination with in situ product recovery.

Electrochemical processes to separate products derived from biological conversions

This invention relates generally to new findings to improve a method of thermal energy storage or heat pump, i.e. increase the thermal energy from an external heat source, using a reversible condensation reaction with an inorganic oxoacid compound. Substituted 7-azabicyclo[2.2.1]heptyl derivatives useful for making pharmaceutical compositions

The present invention relates to a group of substituted-7-azabicyclo-[2.2.1]heptyl derivatives with biological activity. The present invention also relates to synthetic methods for producing said substituted-7-azabicyclo-[2.2.1]heptyl derivatives. The present invention also relates to certain intermediates for producing such substituted-7-azabicyclo-[2.2.1]heptyl derivatives, as well as a synthetic method for producing such intermediates. The present invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising such substituted-7-azabicyclo-[2.2.1]heptyl derivatives, as well as their use as medicaments for the treatment of diseases mediated by a Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor or a receptor being a member of the Neurotransmitter-gated Ion Channel Superfamily, such as pain, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, epilepsy and nicotine addiction.
