A process () for the recovery of solvent () from solvent-containing cellulosic particles () is shown, the process comprising the steps: a) extracting the solvent () from the cellulosic particles () by means of a liquid extraction medium (), thereby obtaining a solvent-enriched extraction medium (), and b) obtaining the recovered solvent () from the solvent-enriched extraction medium (). In order to improve the efficiency of the process, it is proposed that in step a) the solvent () is extracted from the cellulosic particles () in a continuous flow extraction reactor (), wherein the extraction medium () continuously flows through the extraction reactor () to extract the solvent () from the cellulosic particles ().

Process for the recovery of solvent from solvent-containing cellulosic particles

The invention shows a spin-up device () and a method for spinning up a spinning device () for the continuous extrusion of molded bodies () from a spinning solution (), containing a solvent and cellulose dissolved in the solvent, wherein the molded bodies are extruded from the spinning solution () through spinnerets () of the spinning device () in the form of a loose spinning curtain (), the molded bodies () of the loose spinning curtain () are combined into a molded body bundle () after the extrusion, and the molded body bundle () is, in a further step, fed to a draw-off member () of the spinning device () in order to start a continuous extrusion of the molded bodies (). In order to make the spin-up method simpler in terms of process technology and more reproducible, it is proposed to increase the tensile strength of at least some areas of the molded bodies () of the loose spinning curtain () after their extrusion and before combining them into a molded body bundle ().

Method of manufacturing a cellulose-regenerated-molded body, wherein the method comprises supplying a starting material which is manufactured by a lyocell-method and which comprises cellulose, which is manufactured by solving a cellulose source in a solvent for manufacturing a spinning mass, by extruding the spinning mass and by subsequently precipitating in a spinning bath, solving the starting material which comprises cellulose, in a solvent for manufacturing a spinning mass, and extruding, and subsequently precipitating the spinning mass in a spinning bath, wherein thereby the molded body is obtained.

A process for producing a man-made cellulosic molded body using a man-made cellulosic raw material, including the steps of forming a cellulose solution by dissolution of cellulosic raw material, the extrusion of the cellulose solution obtained to form a molded body, and coagulation and regeneration of the cellulose to obtain the man-made cellulosic molded body, wherein the man-made cellulosic raw material is mixed with a second cellulosic raw material prior to forming the cellulose solution.

Recycling of man-made cellulosic fibers

A process for pretreating reclaimed cotton fibers to be used in the production of molded bodies from regenerated cellulose, characterized by effective metal reduction and adjustment of the degree of polymerization and brightness, including a metal removing stage and an oxidative bleaching stage of the reclaimed cotton fibers or pulp produced thereof. Reclaimed cotton fibers treated according to the described process may be used alone or in blends with conventional dissolving pulp as raw material for the production of molded bodies from regenerated cellulose. The process enables technically smooth, safe, and economically feasible spinning via the Viscose or Lyocell process, therefore, the current invention provides an efficient recycling pathway for cotton waste materials.
