The disclosure relates to a tubular component for a chassis of a vehicle, wherein the tubular component may include an extruded profile made of an aluminum alloy. The extruded profile may include a rounded extruded profile base and profile walls extending from the rounded extruded profile base and facing one another, wherein the profile walls are curved towards one another to form the tubular component.

An axle component for a motor vehicle axle is disclosed having rim holes for the insertion of a rubber-metal bearing. The upper and lower collars of the two rim holes are oriented in the same direction. An outwardly oriented collar is set back into the interior space in relation to an outer wall of the axle component.

A turbine housing of an exhaust gas turbocharger, includes an outer housing in which an inner housing with a tubular nozzle and an outlet duct for connection to an exhaust gas system is arranged. The outlet duct is coupled with the tubular nozzle for movement relative to the nozzle via a seal ring. The seal ring is inwardly everted and pushed onto the nozzle and embraced by an inner-housing support ring, so that a fluid tight fit on the inner housing nozzle is ensured. The seal ring is further pushed onto the outlet duct and there also coupled onto the outlet duct with an outlet duct support ring in a fluid tight manner so that an especially durable connection is created. Both support rings are additionally coupled in a materially bonded manner with the seal ring and the outlet duct nozzle or with the inner housing.

Exhaust gas turbocharger housing

A leaf spring arrangement for a motor vehicle axle includes a leaf spring which is made of a fiber composite and has ends, each end having a flat underside to provide a joining surface. Bonded flatly by an adhesive against the underside of each end of the leaf spring in an area of the joining surface is a mount for attachment onto a further axle component. The mount has an opening for receiving a metallic bearing or screw bolt.

A turbine housing of an exhaust gas turbocharger includes an outer housing, in which an inner housing with a tubular nozzle and an outlet duct for connection to an exhaust gas system is arranged, wherein the outlet duct is coupled to the tubular nozzle via a sealing lip for relative movement. The sealing lip is inwardly evertedly pushed onto the nozzle and for positional fixing, a sliding sleeve is further arranged on the nozzle, wherein the sliding sleeve and the nozzle form a gap in which an end of the sealing lip is received. This avoids that the sealing lip lifts of due to pressure differences and thus that gas leaks occur. Further, an end of the sealing lip is arranged so as to be thermally protected.

Turbine housing of an exhaust gas turbocharger

A modular exhaust gas assembly includes a turbocharger housing having an exhaust flange and a bearing flange receptacle, and a plurality of turbine scrolls of different sizes for selective installation into the turbocharger housing in dependence on a power of an engine. Each turbine scroll has an inlet zone and is connected to the bearing flange receptacle via a selected one of a plurality of different bearing flanges and to the exhaust flange via a selected one of a plurality of different exhaust links. The inlet zone of each turbine scroll is configured to complement a contour of an outlet zone of a standard manifold so that the turbine scrolls are selectively connectable via their inlet zone to the manifold to suit the engine power at hand.

In a method of making a turbocharger housing surfaces of a sheet-metal shell which bound a gap towards the turbine wheel are measured, after the sheet-metal shell has been joined with a bearing flange provided for support of a turbine wheel, to generate measuring values. Subsequently, the bearing flange is machined in dependence on the measuring values for establishing a position of the turbine wheel in relation to the bearing flange and thus of the sheet-metal shell.

Method of making a turbocharger housing

An exhaust-gas turbocharger includes a bearing flange for securement of the exhaust-gas turbocharger to a bearing housing of a turbine wheel. The bearing flange is provided with an outer circumferential fin having a base portion which terminates in a free end. The base portion is defined by a width which is greater than a width of the free end. An outer housing is welded to the outer circumferential fin of the bearing flange, and accommodates an impeller housing.

Exhaust-gas turbocharger

A turbine housing of an exhaust gas turbocharger includes an outer casing and a rotor casing which is arranged in the outer casing and includes a tubular neck for engagement in an exhaust pipe to conduct exhaust gas from the neck in a direction of an exhaust flange. The exhaust pipe is hereby coupled to the rotor casing for relative movement there between. A sealing ring is arranged between the neck and the exhaust pipe, wherein the neck has one end provided with at least one outwardly directed projection defined by an outer diameter which is greater than an inner diameter of the sealing ring. Fabrication of the turbine housing is realized by pushing the sealing ring over the neck, and inserting an expanding mandrel into the neck to widen the neck.

An exhaust gas assembly includes an exhaust gas manifold which is connected with an exhaust gas inlet of a manifold and an adjusting member arranged in the manifold. The adjusting member is configured to supply exhaust gas to a low pressure connection and/or a high-pressure connection of the manifold, wherein on the high-pressure side a high-pressure turbine housing is connected to the manifold and on the low pressure side a low pressure turbine housing is connected to the manifold. A connecting channel extends through the manifold and connects a high-pressure exhaust gas outlet) of the high-pressure turbine housing with a low pressure exhaust inlet) of the low pressure turbine housing.

Exhaust gas assembly

An exhaust-gas cooler includes a housing having a bypass duct and a cooling zone having arranged therein an exhaust-gas cooling duct which includes an entry cooling duct, at least one reversing duct connected to the entry cooling duct, and an exit cooling duct connected to the reversing duct. The reversing duct is constructed to conduct the exhaust-gas flow in opposite direction to a direction of flow in the entry cooling duct and the exit cooling duct. A control element is received in the housing for selectively directing an exhaust-gas flow through the bypass duct or through the cooling zone, with the bypass duct being segregated from a deflection zone of the reversing duct.

Exhaust-gas cooler

An exhaust-noise attenuation muffler includes two half-shells, each including an inner shell and an outer shell which are made through deep drawing of a sheet metal blank which can have a thickness between 0.3 mm and 0.5 m. The inner shell or the outer shell is provided with an embossment. After placing the inner shells in corresponding ones of the outer shells to form half-shells, two complementing half-shells are joined together.

An exhaust pipe for an internal combustion engine includes an inner tube carrying a flow of exhaust gas and surrounded by an outer tube, with an insulating layer disposed between the inner tube and the outer tube. The inner tube has at least one region formed with a nub-shaped profile in contact with the flow of exhaust gas.
