A method for checking a capacity of at least one supply line for an electrically operated assembly that is coupled electrically via the at least one supply line to an electrical system of an at least partially automated mobile platform. The method includes: ensuring a non-critical operating state of the mobile platform; determining an off-load terminal voltage at an input connection of the assembly, with zero-current supply line; applying a defined current to the supply line of the electrically operated assembly; determining an on-load terminal voltage at the input connection of the assembly, in doing so, the defined voltage being applied to the supply line of the electrically operated assembly; determining a differential voltage between the off-load terminal voltage and the on-load terminal voltage; comparing the differential voltage to a differential-voltage limit value to determine whether the capacity of the electric supply line is sufficient to operate the assembly.

Method for checking a capacity of a supply line

A method for producing round stock () which is provided with at least one inscription and/or marking (), at least the surface () of the round stock () consisting of a metallic material, in particular of chromium or steel, for example of hardened steel, chromium-plated steel or stainless steel. In order to improve this method such that disadvantages and shortcomings are avoided, the method includes the following steps: placing on the surface () at least one cover () which is adapted to the shape of the surface () and in particular has the inscription and/or marking (), such that the region to be provided with the inscription and/or marking () is not covered by the cover (),&#x2014;exposing the round stock () to a first electrolyte () together with the cover (), material being removed from the surface () by said electrolyte in the region to be provided with the inscription and/or the marking () while producing depressions (), and&#x2014;exposing the round stock () together with the cover () and the depressions () not covered by the cover () to a second electrolyte () by which the depressions () are filled to produce the inscription and/or marking () which differs from the surface () optically, in particular with respect to color. The present invention also relates to round stock () which is manufactured from a metallic material, with the round stock being provided with a correspondingly produced inscription and/or marking ().

Method for optically inscribing and/or marking round stock

A sensor (S) is provided for determining the stroke of the piston rod () of a fluid cylinder, particularly a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder. The sensor includes a lighting unit for illuminating a code applied on the surface of the piston rod and differing from said surface by color, a first camera unit with a first lens system for recording a first image of the illuminated code in a first scanning window, an evaluation unit for evaluating output signals of the first camera unit, and an interface for issuing the evaluated output signals as information regarding the position of the piston rod. Additionally, a second redundant camera unit is provided with a second lens system, which serves for recording a second image of the illuminated code in a second scanning window. According to the invention the second camera unit is arranged such that the second scanning window is spaced apart in the direction of the extension of the piston rod by a predetermined value from the first scanning window of the first camera unit. The output signals of the second camera unit are evaluated in an evaluation unit as information about the respective position by forming a difference, with in case of said difference being consistent with a predetermined value the output signal being considered information about the stroke of the piston rod, and in case of inconsistency of the difference with the predetermined value an error message being issued.
