In the method, a portion of the metal tube is placed in a lumen of a metal sleeve having a metal wall surrounding the lumen. The metal tube is placed in such a manner that an outer surface of the metal tube and an inner surface of the metal sleeve at least partially contact one another. The metal sleeve is affixed on the portion of the metal tube placed in its lumen for forming a metal tube, metal sleeve, composite system. The metal tube, metal sleeve, composite system, in turn, is placed in the passageway of the metal body in such a manner that an outer surface of the metal sleeve and an inner surface of the passageway at least partially contact one another, in order thereafter by plastically deforming at least the metal sleeve of the metal tube, metal sleeve, composite system placed in the passageway to form a force interlocking between the inner surface of the passageway and the outer surface of the metal sleeve. The so formed metal tube, metal sleeve, metal body composite system can serve as a component of a measuring transducer, respectively a vibronic measuring device formed therewith.

Method for affixing a metal tube to a metal body

A measuring transducer for registering and/or monitoring at least one process variable of a flowable medium guided in a pipeline, which at least includes: a housing module, which is mechanically coupled with the pipeline via an inlet end and an outlet end, and a sensor module having at least one measuring tube held oscillatably at least partially in the housing module and caused, at least at times, to oscillate. The at least one component of the housing module and/or of the sensor module is manufactured by means of a generative method and method for manufacturing at least one component of a measuring transducer, which method includes manufacturing the at least one component by means of a primary forming process, especially by means of a layered applying and/or melting-on of a powder, especially a metal powder, based on a digital data set, which gives at least the shape and/or the material and/or the structure of the at least one component.

Measuring transducer of vibration-type

The measuring transducer comprises a measuring tube having an inlet-side tube end and an outlet-side tube end, a tube wall having a predetermined wall thickness and a lumen surrounded by the tube wall and extending between the first and second tube end, a support element, which with a support end is mechanically connected with the tube end and with a support end is mechanically connected with the tube end, as well as, laterally spaced from the measuring tube, a support element, which with a support end is mechanically connected with the support end and with a support end is mechanically connected with the support end. The measuring tube of the measuring transducer is adapted to guide a flowing medium in its lumen and during that to be caused to oscillate about a static resting position for producing Coriolis forces. The measuring transducer comprises an oscillation exciter as well as at least one oscillation sensor. The measuring transducer has a wanted mode having a resonant frequency, in which the measuring tube can execute wanted oscillations around its static resting position suitable for producing Coriolis forces and having a wanted frequency corresponding to the resonant frequency of the wanted mode. The oscillation exciter is, furthermore, adapted to excite the wanted oscillations of the measuring tube, and the oscillation sensor, of which one sensor component is placed externally on the measuring tube and one sensor component is placed on the support element, is adapted to register movements of the measuring tube relative to the support element and to convert such into an oscillatory signal representing oscillations of the measuring tube.

Measuring transducer of vibration-type as well as measuring system formed therwith

The oscillation exciter is placed externally on the measuring tube and one exciter component is placed on the support element, is, furthermore, adapted to excite the wanted oscillations of the measuring tube, and the oscillation sensor, of which one sensor component is placed externally on the measuring tube and one sensor component is placed on the support element, is adapted to register movements of the measuring tube relative to the support element and to convert such into an oscillatory signal representing oscillations of the measuring tube.

Measuring transducer of vibration-type as well as measuring system formed therewith

A measuring transducer comprises: a housing, with an inlet-side flow divider having four flow openings, and an outlet-side end having four flow openings; a tube arrangement having four tubes connected to the flow dividers; and a first coupling element. An exciter mechanism for producing and/or maintaining mechanical oscillations of the four measuring tubes. The first coupling element includes a deformation body and four connecting struts, of which connected with a first strut end and with the first measuring tube, a second connecting strut is connected with a first strut end and with a second strut end with the second measuring tube, a third connecting strut and with a second strut end with the first measuring tube, and a fourth connecting strut is connected with a first strut end and with a second strut end with the fourth measuring tube.

A tube arrangement has exactly four curved or bent measuring tubes connected to the flow dividers for guiding flowing medium along flow paths connected in parallel. Each of the four measuring tubes opens with an inlet-side measuring tube end into one of the flow openings of the inlet-side flow divider, and with an outlet-side measuring tube end into one of the flow openings of the outlet-side flow divider. A first coupling element for adjusting eigenfrequencies of natural oscillation modes of the tube arrangement. An electro-mechanical exciter mechanism of the measuring transducer serves for producing and/or maintaining mechanical oscillations of the four measuring tubes. The first coupling element of first type includes, furthermore, a deformation body as well as four connecting struts, of which each is connected both with the deformation body as well as also with exactly one of the measuring tubes; conversely, also each of the measuring tubes is connected with exactly one of the four connecting struts.

An electromechanical exciter mechanism of the measuring transducer serves for producing and/or maintaining mechanical oscillations of the four measuring tubes.

A measuring system comprises: a measuring transducer for producing oscillation measurement signals; and transmitter electronics electrically coupled with the measuring transducer for activating the measuring transducer and for evaluating oscillation measurement signals delivered by the measuring transducer. The measuring transducer includes: a transducer housing, a first housing end housing end, first flow divider having exactly four flow openings, an outlet-side, second housing end formed by means of an outlet-side, second flow divider having exactly four flow openings mutually spaced from one another, and a tube arrangement having exactly four, straight, measuring tubes forming flow paths arranged for parallel flow and connected to the flow dividers, an electromechanical exciter mechanism for producing and/or maintaining mechanical oscillations of the four measuring tubes and a vibration sensor arrangement reacting to vibrations of the measuring tubes.

Measuring system having a measuring transducer of vibration-type

A measuring transducer, comprises at least one measuring tube for conveying a flowing medium. The measuring tube vibrates at least at times during operation. The measuring transducer further comprises a sensor arrangement, which serves to register oscillations of the measuring tube. The measuring tube extends with an oscillatory length between an inlet-side, first measuring tube end and an outlet-side, second measuring tube end, and, during operation, oscillates about an oscillation axis, which is parallel to or coincides with an imagined connecting axis which imaginarily connects the two measuring tube ends. By means of a first oscillation sensor, which is arranged on the measuring tube, the sensor arrangement produces a first primary signal representing vibrations of the measuring tube, and by means of a second oscillation sensor, which is arranged on the measuring tube spaced from the first measuring sensor, the sensor arrangement produces a second primary signal representing vibrations of the measuring tube. The oscillation sensors of the sensor arrangement are placed in the measuring transducer in such a way that a measuring length of the measuring transducer corresponds to less than 65% especially less than 55% of the oscillatory length, and greater than 25%, especially greater than 30% of the oscillatory length.

Vibration-type measuring transducer

A measuring transducer comprising at least one measuring tube for conveying a flowing medium. The measuring tube vibrates at least at times during operation. A sensor arrangement, which serves to register oscillations of the at least one measuring tube. The measuring tube extends with an oscillatory length between an inlet-side, first measuring tube end, and an outlet-side, second measuring tube end, and, during operation, oscillates about an oscillation axis, which is parallel to or coincides with an imagined connecting axis which imaginarily connects the two measuring tube ends. By means of a first oscillation sensor, the sensor arrangement produces a first primary signal of the measuring transducer representing vibrations of the measuring tube, and by means of a second oscillation sensor the sensor arrangement produces a second primary signal of the measuring transducer representing vibrations of the measuring tube, wherein a length of a region of the first measuring tube extending between the first oscillation sensor and the second oscillation sensor defines a measuring length of the measuring transducer. The oscillation sensors of the sensor arrangement are placed in the measuring transducer in such a way that a measuring transducer sensitivity, S, referenced to a theoretical sensitivity at a maximum measuring length corresponding to the oscillatory length, as well as a signal amplitude, of the primary signals actually achieved during operation, referenced to a theoretically maximum possible signal amplitude, A, at the location of maximum oscillation amplitude, fulfill the condition 

Vibration-type measuring transducer as well as measuring device with such a measuring transducer

This sensor, for a fluid and suitable for use in a pipeline at least temporarily containing the fluid flowing therethrough, has at least one curved measuring tube, which vibrates during operation and guides the fluid, and a housing enclosing the measuring tube. The housing is composed of a metal cap of two cap halves and a supporting tube, in which the measuring tube is held at its inlet and outlet ends in a manner such that the tube can oscillate, and out of which a measuring tube segment protrudes sideways. Each cap half has an edge with, in each case, four edge portions. The edge portions are straight, the edge portions are curved, and the edge portions have the shape of circular arcs. The edge portions are welded continuously to the supporting tube and the edge portions are welded continuously to one another. The cap halves are cut out of a dish-shaped intermediate having a formed, surrounding edge bead, provided with the shape of a quarter-torus by metal spinning.

Method for producing vibration-type measuring sensor

The magnetic circuit arrangement, which is preferably used in a fluid-measuring transducer, comprises at least one coil which is traversed in operation by a current. It further comprises two armatures that are fixed to two flow tubes vibrating in phase opposition. The coil is float-mounted by means of a holder to a double flow tube configuration formed by the flow tubes. The armatures are shaped and aligned relative to each other in such a manner that magnetic fields produced by means of the magnetic circuit arrangement are essentially concentrated within the magnetic circuit arrangement, whereby the latter is also largely insensitive to extraneous magnetic fields. The magnetic circuit arrangement is marked by a long service life and, particularly if the transducer is used for fluids with high and/or varying temperatures, by constantly high accuracy in operation.
