A computed tomography device includes a holding frame and a ring mount, being movably mounted to the holding frame. The ring mount includes an x-ray detector, with a semiconductor material, operable in an equilibrium of statistical states of occupation. In an embodiment, the computed tomography device includes a first power supply, set up to supply power, in an operating state of the computed tomography device, to a first lot of components of the computed tomography device, the first lot of components being arranged on the ring mount for an image generation process; and a second power supply, separable from the first power supply in terms of circuitry, to supply power to a second lot of components of the computed tomography device in a resting state of the computed tomography device, the components of the second lot being set up to hold the semiconductor material in the equilibrium.

Computed tomography device and method for operating a computed tomography device

A counting x-ray detector includes a converter element, a rewiring unit and an evaluation unit including pixel electrodes. In an embodiment, the converter element includes a first electrode on a surface facing away from the evaluation unit and a pixelated second electrode having a plurality of electrode elements on a surface facing toward the evaluation unit. The rewiring unit is on a surface of the converter element facing toward the evaluation unit. First contacts of electrically conductive connections between the electrode elements and the pixel electrodes are provided on a surface of the rewiring unit and include a first areal distribution; and second such contacts are provided on a surface of the rewiring unit, including a relatively smaller second areal distribution. An areal extent of the evaluation unit is relatively smaller than an areal extent of the converter element.

A detector is disclosed for detecting X-ray and/or gamma radiation, including a scintillator element for converting the X-ray and/or gamma radiation into light. The scintillator element has at least one side surface, an upper side and a lower side, a first photodiode on the lower side of the scintillator element. The detector further includes an electronic evaluation device, a light source designed to illuminate the scintillator element, and a light-impermeable housing which surrounds the scintillator element, the first photodiode, the electronic evaluation device and the light source.

Reducing drift effects of scintillator detectors by light irradiation

An X-ray detector includes a stack arrangement with a scattered radiation grid and a planar converter element including a first surface and a second surface. The converter element includes a first electrode embodied on the first surface and a pixelated second electrode with two adjacent first electrode elements. The two adjacent first electrode elements include a first width and a first length and the two adjacent first electrode elements are embodied the second surface opposite the first surface. The scattered radiation grid includes a grid wall with a thickness along the boundary between the two adjacent first electrode elements. The grid wall is arranged to be substantially perpendicular on the first surface and, in a projection, substantially parallel to the direction of incidence of the radiation and to the surface normal of the first surface. The grid wall at least partially overlaps the two adjacent first electrode elements.

A method is described for determining the polarization state of a sensor of an X-ray detector. In the method, the X-ray detector is illuminated with a sequence of light pulses wherein the individual pulses of the light pulse sequence have a different intensity. It is further determined at what intensity of the light pulses, charge pulses generated by the sensor of the X-ray detector exceed a threshold voltage of a signal detection circuit. Also described is a method for obtaining and/or setting functional data of a sensor of an X-ray detector and/or of a sensor illumination unit. Furthermore, an X-ray detector is described.

A method is for the production of a scintillator fiber. In an embodiment, the method includes provisioning a suspension of a binder dissolved in a solvent and a scintillator material; and pressing the suspension into a precipitation bath in which the binder is insoluble.

Ceramic scintillator fiber

An x-ray radiation detector is disclosed with an upper side, which faces an x-ray radiation source during operation, and with a semiconductor layer for direct conversion of x-ray radiation into electric measurement signals. In an embodiment, a luminous film is arranged between the upper side and the semiconductor layer, and with the aid of which luminous film, electromagnetic radiation can be coupled into the semiconductor layer.
