A lighting device for a motor vehicle, in particular a headlight for a motor vehicle, comprising a plurality of light sources from which light is emitted during operation of the lighting device, and a collimation optical system that includes a plurality of collimating lenses, each having an entry surface and an exit surface through which the light emitted from the light sources passes, and a secondary optical unit that includes at least one array of lenses. The light emitted from the collimation optical system passes through the at least one array of lenses. The collimating lenses are arranged in at least two rows, at least two of the collimating lenses being adjacently situated in each of the rows in a first direction and the rows being adjacently situated in a second direction that is substantially perpendicular to the first direction.

A display device for a motor vehicle is provided. The display device includes at least one display with a display surface for displaying content via a plurality of pixels. The display device comprises a light-guiding lens with at least one entry surface and an exit surface. During operation of the display device the light emitted from the display surface enters the light-guiding lens through the at least one entry surface and is emitted by an exit surface, such that the content is shown on the exit surface. In one embodiment, the exit surface features a different shape. In another embodiment, the exit surface is a different size than the at least one display surface. In another embodiment, the display device comprises several displays with display surfaces at distances to each other, and the light-guiding lens features merely one exit surface or several exit surfaces directly adjoining each other.

The lighting device comprises at least one imaging component with at least one active surface, on which imaging elements for the generation of pixels of a light distribution are arranged matrix-like. During operation of the lighting device, the light emanating from the at least one active surface enters the light-guiding optics through the at least one entry surface and exits the light-guiding optics through the exit surface. The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for checking a lighting driving assistance system of vehicles. In this case, a vehicle is positioned in front of a body and a light of the vehicle is aimed at this body. Brightness distributions are obtained by adjusting the light in the horizontal and vertical directions in a plurality of angular positions and are recorded by an image capture unit. The recorded brightness distributions are used to calculate the distance and angular offset as well as the position of the body and actual values of the angular positions. These actual values are compared with preset desired values, and recommended settings for minimizing a difference between desired and actual values are output.

Method and a device for testing a lighting driving assistance system
