A release lever assembly configured to unlock a lock mechanism of a seat assembly is provided. The release lever assembly may include a lever arm, a cable, and an indicator device. The lever arm may be pivotally connected to the seat assembly. The cable may include a first end that is configured to be fixed to the lever arm and a second end that is configured to be connected to the lock mechanism. The indicator device may extend from the first end of the cable so that when the release lever assembly is mounted on the seat assembly, the lever arm is rotatable to unlock the lock mechanism, and the indicator device is configured to extend out of an aperture defined by the seat assembly when the lock is unlocked.

The disclosed system employs vehicle seat track assembly including an easy entry system for a vehicle seat, further including a memory system having an adjustment increment compensator which allows for memory system which records displacement by an incremental distance, y, to be employed in a vehicle seat which employees a seat track that allows for fore-aft adjustment by a second incremental distance, x, thereby allowing seat designers and manufacturers to employ a single easy entry memory system on multiple vehicle seat track designs, each of which may have seat tracks which allow fore-aft adjustment at different increments, without modifying the easy entry memory system for each variation in fore-aft adjustment increment. The disclosed compensator also insures that the memory system will be activated even when there is a slight misalignment of the memory module components at the time of activation.

Vehicle seat memory track assembly with memory adjustment compensation

A seat track assembly includes a first track having a wall including a plurality of openings formed therein. A second track is slidably mounted relative to the first track and has a pair of spaced apart walls, each of the walls include a plurality of openings formed therein. The seat track assembly further includes a locking mechanism that includes a pin carried by the second track and slidably movable within a substantially horizontal plane between an engaged position and a disengaged position. In the engaged position, the pin is disposed in one of the plurality of openings formed in the wall of the first track and is pivoted to a position such that an axis of the pin is not parallel with the substantially horizontal plane. In the disengaged position, the pin is not disposed in the opening formed in the wall of the first track.

Positively engaged locking mechanism for a vehicle seat

An end cap for a seat track assembled between a vehicle seat and a floor of a vehicle. The seat track includes an upper track attached to the vehicle seat and a lower track attached to the floor that receives the upper track in a sliding relationship. A seat position sensor attached to the upper track senses the position of the lower seat track. The end cap has a plurality of longitudinally extending walls that are assembled over the lower track. One of the longitudinally extending walls is attached to a recessed portion of the lower track with an external surface that is contiguous with the outer surface of one wall of the lower track.

A seat track assembly includes first and second tracks. The second track includes a detent. A roller engages the first and second tracks for facilitating movement of the first track relative to the second track. Movement of the first track relative to the second track at a predetermined position causes the roller to engage with the detent such that the detent resists rotation of the roller, thereby temporarily retaining the first track relative to the second track at the predetermined position.
