An electrical ferrule for an electrical cable comprises a body defining a circumferential center portion connecting a first flank and a second flank, the first and second flanks arranged opposite one another in a radial direction of the ferrule. At least one latch or lock is defined on at least one of the flanks for selectively fixing the flanks together and closing the ferrule in a manner in which a diameter of the ferrule may be varied during its installation onto an electrical cable.

A chiclet for a chiclet connector includes a conductor having a first end and a second end. A housing of the chiclet encloses and defines a housing interior. The conductor extends through the housing interior with the first and second ends of the conductor forming contacts projecting from the housing. A dielectric waveguide for propagating electromagnetic signals comprises a cladding and an electrically conductive shield. The cladding has a body composed of a first dielectric material. The body defines a core region therethrough that is filled with a second dielectric material different than the first dielectric material. The cladding includes at least two ribs extending from an outer surface of the body to distal ends of the ribs. The electrically conductive shield engages the distal ends of the ribs and peripherally surrounds the cladding such that air gaps are defined radially between the outer surface of the body and an interior surface of the shield.
