The present application relates to an apparatus for processing a food stuff. The apparatus has a housing (), and a cutting tool () rotatably mounted in the housing () having a cutting edge () and a trailing edge (). The cutting tool () is arranged to pass once per revolution through a processing region () in the housing in which a food stuff is receivable, and to pass through a recovery region (). The recovery region is defined in the housing between the trailing edge passing from the processing region and the cutting edge passing into the processing region as the cutting tool rotates, and the cutting tool is free to rotate in the processing region without contacting the food stuff. Therefore, the cutting tool () acts on a food stuff as the cutting tool rotates through the processing region, and recovers the rotational speed lost due to acting on a food stuff in the processing region as the cutting tool () rotates through the recovery region. The present application also relates to a food processor and to a method of processing a food stuff.

The present application relates to an apparatus for processing a food stuff. The apparatus has a housing () and a cutting tool () for cutting a food stuff which is rotatably mounted in the housing. The cutting tool () rotates in the housing () about a rotational axis and has a radially extending cutting element (). One end of the cutting tool () slides in a circumferentially extending slot in the housing as the cutting tool () is rotated in the housing (). Therefore, the cutting tool () is supported in an axial direction by the housing (). The present application also relates to a food processor.

Apparatus for processing a food stuff

The present invention relates to release system for a kitchen utensil () comprising a coupling system () for connecting an accessory () to a power unit () of the kitchen utensil (). A release mechanism on the coupling system () for connecting the accessory () comprise one or more locking member(s) () and one or more release lever(s). These parts () are adapted to move between a locked position and a release position where they slidably connect(s) with one another. Hereby the accessory () can be separated from the power unit () by only pushing a single release button () on the kitchen utensils' () power unit ().
