An antenna system includes an antenna and a passive device for angular deflection of a main radiation lobe of the antenna, characterized in that the device consists of a lens, said lens having a constant thickness and having a progressive relative permittivity between an inner edge of the lens located on the side of the geometric center of the antenna and an outer edge of the lens located on the side of a periphery of the antenna, the profile of the relative permittivity as a function of distance to the geometrical center of the antenna being adapted such that the lens deflects the main radiation lobe of the antenna by a predefined deflection angle over at least a portion of an operating frequency band of the antenna.

An array antenna (A) in a medium (M) comprises a plurality of radiating elements (ER) ensuring the transition between the antenna and the medium, the reflectivity of each element depending on a parameter, the reflectivity of a first element being close to that of the medium, the reflectivity of a last element being close to that of the antenna, the reflectivity parameter of the elements varying from one element to the next. A method comprises calculation of a path equal to the sum of the variations of the reflectivity from one element to the next element, optimization of the variation of the reflectivity parameter so that equivalent radar cross-section of the antenna is the lowest possible or the antenna best observes the radiation objectives, determination of the different elements as a function of said parameter, and simulation of the overall reflectivity and/or of the radiation of the antenna.

An electronic-scanning antenna composed of radiating elements each forming an active channel in which the signals arising from the channels are grouped together to form deviometry signals, each deviometry signal forming a deviometry channel, and are grouped together according to sectors to form a sector-based signal forming a sector channel, a computation-based beam being formed on the basis of the signals arising from each of the sectors, the method comprises the following steps: measuring the response to a calibration signal of each active channel at one and the same time on the sum deviometry channel and on the sector channel to which it belongs, the responses on the sum channel to obtain the calibration of the sum channel; computing, for each active channel, the disparity between the mean of the responses measured on the sum channel and the mean of the responses measured on the sector to which it belongs; in the operational phase, forming the beam by computation on the basis of the measurements of the signals arising from the sector channels calibrated with the calibration obtained for the sum channel, and correcting the computation of the beam as a function of the disparity.

A transceiver device and associated antenna are disclosed. In one aspect, the transceiver device combines first and second transceiver modules with a transceiver capability including a substantially planar radiating element and including a central point. Each transceiver module is a transceiver module coupled with the transceiver capability so as to excite a pair of excitation points of the radiating element, the excitation points of one pair being arranged symmetrically relative to the central point of the radiating element. The first and second transceiver modules respectively excite a first pair of excitation points arranged in a first direction of the radiating element and a second pair of excitation points arranged in a second direction of the radiating element, the first and second directions being mutually orthogonal.

An antenna comprises a plurality of tiles forming an antenna plane, each of said tiles comprising a plurality of radiating elements. Each radiating element comprises a metallic upper patch disposed above a metallic lower patch, the two patches being separated by a layer insulating them electrically. The lower patch is fed with electric current. Each radiating element comprises a conducting frame disposed parallel to the antenna plane and framing the two patches of said element, the two so-called patches being coupled electromagnetically through the aperture of said frame whose body comprises a rear face of small cross section disposed on the side of the lower patch and a front face of larger cross section disposed on the side of the upper patch, so as to widen the angular scan field of a beam in a plane orthogonal to the antenna plane.
