An ophthalmological device for processing a curved treatment face in eye tissue comprises a scanner system with a plurality of scan axes configured to move the focal spot to target locations in the eye tissue. A circuit is configured control the scanner system to move the focal spot to target locations along a processing path, defined by treatment control data, to process the curved treatment face in the eye tissue. The circuit is further configured to perform a feasibility check, using the treatment control data and scan capabilities of the scanner system, defined by scan performance characteristics of each particular scan axis. In case the feasibility check indicates that moving the focal spot along the processing path exceeds the scan capabilities of the scanner system, the circuit adjusts the treatment control data.

Ophthalmological device for processing a curved treatment face

Disclosed is an ophthalmological treatment apparatus for modifying a shape of a corneal surface of a human eye. The apparatus includes a surgical laser device for implementing tissue cuts. The apparatus further includes a computerized control device in operative coupling with the surgical laser device, the control device being designed to control the laser device to implement tissue cuts according to a cut geometry with a primary tissue cut and a secondary tissue cut, wherein the primary tissue cut is a relief cut and extends into the depth of the conical eye tissue, and wherein the secondary tissue cut lies within the conical eye tissue, such that the secondary tissue cut adds to the relieving effect of the primary tissue cut.

An ophthalmic device for treating an eye includes a laser source, a scanner system and an application head with a focusing optic and a patient interface for docking the application head onto the eye. Moreover, the ophthalmic device includes a measurement system for optically capturing eye structures when the application head is docked to the eye and a circuit which is configured to determine reference structures of the eye, which are arranged in ring-shaped fashion about the center axis of the anterior chamber of the eye, from the captured eye structures and to arrange a defined three-dimensional treatment model with respect to these reference structures in order to process a three-dimensional treatment pattern in accordance with the arranged three-dimensional treatment model in the eye.

The electronic circuit is configured to control the scanner system to move the focal spot of the pulsed laser beam generated by the laser source to generate a first part of a void volume ablating cornea tissue inside the first part of the void volume, and to generate a separated second part of the void volume by separating the second part of the void volume as piece of cornea tissue to be removed from the void volume through an incision in the cornea, whereby at least a part of the separated second part is separated from the cornea by the ablated first part.

Ophthalmological device for refractive correction of a cornea

An ophthalmological device for intracapsular fragmentation of a lens nucleus of an eye comprises a laser source, a focusing optical module, and a scanner system for moving a focus to target locations in the lens nucleus. For the fragmentation of the lens nucleus, an electronic circuit controls the scanner system to move the focus to intracapsular target locations on cutting planes which extend from a posterior surface to an anterior surface of the lens nucleus. The cutting planes form a maximum of two intracapsular intersecting lines on any of the cutting planes. Two of the cutting planes are arranged at a mutual distance larger than a diameter of a phaco handpiece tip and divide the lens nucleus into three fragments.

An ophthalmological device for treatment of a cornea comprises a laser source, a focusing optical module, a scanner system, and an electronic circuit. The electronic circuit is configured to control the scanner system to move the focal spot of the pulsed laser beam to generate a void volume inside the cornea by ablating cornea tissue with partially overlapping focal spots, whereby two or more focal spots partially overlap in direction of each of three dimensions of the void volume, and to move the focal spot inside the cornea to cut in the cornea a venting channel which connects fluidically the void volume to an escape area and enables venting of gas from the void volume through the venting channel to the escape area.

An ophthalmological apparatus comprises a laser source for producing a pulsed laser beam, a scanner system for deflecting the pulsed laser beam at a treatment speed in the eye tissue along a scanning treatment line, a first scanning apparatus connected upstream of the scanner system for deflecting the pulsed laser beam and for producing a first scanning movement component superposed on the scanning treatment line in a first scanning direction at a first scanning speed that is higher as compared to the treatment speed, and a second scanning apparatus connected upstream of the scanner system for deflecting the pulsed laser beam and for producing a second scanning movement component, which is superposed on the first scanning movement component in a second scanning direction, which is at an angle to the first scanning direction, at a second scanning speed that is higher as compared to the first scanning speed.

Ophthalmological apparatus for treating eye tissue using a pulsed laser beam

An ophthalmic device for treating eye tissue using laser pulses comprises a projection optical unit for focused projection of the laser pulses and a scanning device, with a movable mirror, arranged downstream from the projection optical unit, for deflecting the laser pulses projected by the projection optical unit in at least one deflection direction. The ophthalmic device moreover comprises an optical correction element arranged downstream of the scanning device, which correction element is configured to image, in a focused manner, the laser pulses deflected by the scanning device on an intended treatment area in the eye tissue. The optical correction element renders it possible to therefore correct image field curvatures caused by the scanning device arranged downstream from the projection optical unit and, for example, image the deflected laser pulses in focus onto a plane.

For the purposes of working on eye tissue, an ophthalmological apparatus comprises a laser source that is configured to produce a pulsed laser beam, a focusing optical unit that is configured to focus the pulsed laser beam into the eye tissue, and a scanner system for deflecting the pulsed laser beam onto work target points in the eye tissue. A circuit controls the scanner system in such a way that the scanner system guides the pulsed laser beam into work trajectories that extend next to one another, in order, initially, to produce cut trajectories, separated by remaining tissue bridges, of a tissue cut to be undertaken in an area and in order, thereafter, to guide the pulsed laser beam in the remaining tissue bridges between the cut trajectories in order to complete the tissue cut.

An ophthalmological device for surgical treatment of a cornea comprises a laser source, a focusing optical module, a scanner system, and an electronic circuit configured to control the scanner system to move the focus of the pulsed laser beam generated by the laser source to cut inside the cornea a lenticule and a venting channel which comprises an opening incision in a peripheral area of an exterior surface of the cornea, outside a perimeter of the lenticule from a top view perspective onto the cornea, and the venting channel connecting fluidically the posterior lenticule surface and/or the anterior lenticule surface to the opening incision, to enable venting of gas, produced by cutting the lenticule inside the cornea, through the opening incision to the exterior of the cornea.
