A sensor protector is intended to reduce the sensitivity of the optical sensor () to radiation products which, for example, are formed during sterilization with gamma radiation and to ensure simple and cost-effective manufacture. The sensor protector includes an upper part (), a lower part () and an optical sensor (). The optical sensor () situated on the lower part is positionable in an offset manner with respect to an opening () situated in the upper part and movable by means of displacement toward the opening () of the upper part (). The sensor protector is suitable for use in containers and laboratory products that are sterilized by gamma radiation, for example disposable bioreactors.

Sensor protector

An adapter is provided for fastening a filter element in a cylindrical receiving opening of a bottom part of a lower piece of a filter housing. The adapter has at least one seal arranged in a peripheral groove on the circumference of the adapter to permit fluid-tight separation of a non-filtrate chamber, which surrounds the external jacket of the filter and from which medium to be filtered can be delivered to the filter, from a filtrate chamber into which the filtrate can be introduced from the filter. The seal is connected by injection molding to a base surface of the peripheral groove and is at a distance from at least one side wall delimiting the base surface of the groove.

Adapter for fastening a filter element

A surgical stapling device for applying staples in a layer of tissue. A staple magazine is arranged in a device body and contains a plurality of spring loaded, stacked staples. A triggering element moves from a ready position to an actuation position causing an upper die to pick up a staple at an outlet of the staple magazine, to bend the staple feet inwards, and to fold, on an anvil engaging between the staple feet, the ends of a staple cross bar so as to form staple legs. A flat, spring-loaded tongue ejector element extends beneath the anvil. The ejector element is displaced against its direction of transport when the triggering element is moved from a readiness position into the actuation position, and is displaced in its direction of transport when the triggering element returns to the ready position so as to push the applied staple from the anvil.
