A friction lining or structure of a vehicle disk brake, including an absorption body with a mass MT, with a rear plate including hammer-head-shaped projections and friction material, which is fastened to the rear plate, for bearing against a friction ring, and wherein the projections engage in abutments of receiving recesses in a holder profile for the tangentially fixed holding and the axially displaceable guidance, and therefore introduction of a tangentially directed circumferential force (Fu, friction force) into the holder profile induces a tensile stress in at least one projection. An absorption system for suppressing undesirable vibrations is arranged on the friction lining.

Friction lining arrangement for a disk brake

A friction lining with a wire bow spring including leg springs for the radially clastic support of the friction lining on a housing bridge of a brake caliper, wherein the back plate has a receptacle for a friction-lining wear sensor, and wherein a steel wire bow spring is a symmetrical to at least one longitudinal axis, and the wire bow spring is symmetrical to an imaginary transverse axis arranged rotated by a 90&#xb0; with respect to the longitudinal axis, wherein the steel wire bow has a central U-bow for the friction-lining wear sensor, and wherein the U-bow is designed to be open at the top, the friction-lining wear sensor is accommodated integrated in the central U-bow and the U-bow is substantially larger than the friction-lining wear sensor, and therefore the friction-lining wear sensor can be mounted in the radial direction in the receptacle in the back plate.

Friction lining with a steel wire bow spring

A brake pad for a partially-lined disk brake and a method for making such a brake pad. The brake pad has a back plate, a friction lining arranged fixedly on a front side of the back plate and a damping plate provided on a rear side. At least one hook-shaped guide end adjoins a body region of the back plate in a circumferential direction. The guide end has an elevation with a material thickness D increased in relation to a material thickness d of the body region. At least one abutment face for tangential abutment in a circumferential direction is provided on the guide end and a support face is provided thereon for radial support in a radial direction. The damping plate has at least one bent-over bracket which rests against the radial support face in a bracket region of the back plate. The damping plate is offset axially to the rear relative to the bracket region in the body region of the back plate.
