The present invention relates to a hair removal device, such as an electric shaver or epilator, comprising a hair cutting unit, a motor for driving the hair cutting unit, a measurement unit for measuring motor current and/or induced voltage and a cutting activity determinator for determining cutting activity from the half cycles of the signal of said measurement unit, wherein a wear determination unit is provided for determining wear of the hair cutting unit from the cutting activity signal of said cutting activity determinator.

Hair removal device

An electric shaver, comprising an elongated handle for manually moving the personal care device along a body surface, a working head attached to said handle for effecting a personal care treatment to said body surface, at least one detector for detecting at least one behavioral parameter indicative of a user's behavior when handling the personal care device, and an adjusting mechanism for adjusting at least one working parameter of the working head in response to the detected behavioral parameter.

A skin treatment device such as an electric shaver, having a housing forming an elongated handle for manually moving the device along a body surface, a working head attached to the handle for effecting a treatment to the body surface, at least one detector for detecting at least one treatment parameter of the device, and a feedback indicator for indicating feedback information based on the detected treatment parameter to a user during the personal care treatment. Parallel to measuring the motor current, the induced voltage of the motor is measured and a timing property of the induced voltage is evaluated, wherein the duration of a time pattern in the induced voltage is analyzed as timing property of the induced voltage. A cutting activity of the electrical hair removal device during use is determined based on the evaluated timing property of the induced voltage, and a force applied onto skin during use of the electrical hair removal device is determined based on the measured motor current and, optionally, on the determined cutting activity.

The present invention is concerned with an electrically operable hair removing device, such as a shaver comprising a housing, an energy source located in the housing, at least one hair removal unit and at least one electrically operated equipment, like a light source, which is movable relative to the housing. During its use, the at least one electrically operated equipment is not directly connected to the energy source located in the housing.

The present invention is concerned with a skin treatment device, in particular a hair removal device, having a light emission unit comprising a substrate and a plurality of first LED dies mounted on the substrate on an area of at least 0.2 cm, in particular of at least 1 cm, wherein the skin treatment device is arranged to activate the first LED dies to emit a treatment light pulse having a pulse length in particular in the range of between 10 ms and 300 ms and the first LED dies have a radiant flux such that a radiant fluence on the skin of a user of at least 1 J/cmis achieved by application of the treatment light pulse, wherein the light emission unit has at least two selectable active areas of first LED dies, where the selectable active areas have different sizes, and at least three second LED dies are mounted on the substrate at locations suitable for visibly indicating each of the selectable active areas.

The present invention is concerned with a hair removal device having a light emission unit having a substrate and a plurality of first LED dies that are mounted on the substrate on an area of at least 0.2 cm, in particular of at least 1 cm, the first LED dies having a peak emission wavelength in the far red or infrared wavelength range of between 700 nm and 980 nm, wherein the hair removal device is arranged to emit a treatment light pulse having a pulse length in the range of between 60 ms and 120 ms and the first LED dies have a radiant flux such that a radiant fluence on the skin of a user in the range of between 3 J/cmand 7 J/cmis achieved by application of the treatment light pulse.

The present invention is concerned with a hair removal device for removal of red hairs that has a light emission unit having a substrate and a plurality of first LED dies emitting at a peak emission wavelength in a wavelength range of between about 480 nm and about 510 nm, the first LED dies being mounted on the substrate on an area in the range of between about 0.2 cmand about 100 cm, wherein the hair removal device is arranged to emit a treatment light pulse by the first LED dies having a pulse length in the range of between about 30 ms and about 200 ms, and the first LED dies have a radiant flux such that a radiant fluence on the skin of a user in the range of between about 3 J/cmand about 6 J/cmis achieved by application of the treatment light pulse.

The present disclosure is concerned with a skin treatment device having at least a first LED, at least a first controllable current source, in particular a first controllable constant current source, for driving the first LED, a control unit for controlled switching of at least the first controllable current source between a first state in which current is provided to the first LED and a second state in which no current is provided to the first LED, and at least a first current sensor that is connected or connectable with the first LED so that the first current sensor and the first LED form a current path at least in the second state of the first controllable current source.

The present invention is concerned with an electrically operable shaver with an elongate shaver housing defining a longitudinal axis (I), at least one short-hair cutter unit, at least one long-hair trimmer unit disposed on the shaver housing and at least one light source. The at least one light source is movable substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis (I) between a retracted position and an extended position.
