A unit for high-temperature for uses above 700° C. is provided. The unit includes a housing and an electrical functional element. The functional element has a non-conducting substrate, an electrically conductive element, and at least one connection wire or pad. The functional element has a first section, a second section, and a third section. The first section is within the housing and shielded from a local environment. The second section includes the at least one connection wire or pad and is accessible externally to the housing. The third section is between the first and second sections and is embedded in an electrically insulating material. The insulating material seals off the housing from the functional element. A physical and/or chemical bond at an interface between the insulating material and the functional element.

Compact sensor component for harsh environments

A join is provided that includes a first joining partner, a second joining partner having a surface, an electrically insulating component connecting the first joining partner in the second joining partner so that the first joining partner is electrically insulated from the second joining partner and so that the first joining partner extends from the surface. A join is provided that has an electrically insulating component and two joining partners secured to one another and electrically insulated from one another by the electrically insulating component. The electrically insulating component has a surface that extends between the two joining partners. The structure completely surrounds at least one of the two joining partners. The electrically insulating component and/or the structure includes a glass that is at least partially crystallized.

Joins having at least partially crystallized glass

A thermally tempered glass element is provided made of glass with two opposite faces that are under compressive stress of at least 40 MPa. The glass has a working point at which the glass has a viscosity of 10dPa·s of at most 1350° C. The glass has a viscosity versus temperature profile and a coefficient of thermal expansion versus temperature profile of the glass are such that a variable (750° C.-T)/(CTE-CTEs) has a value of at most 5*10K. The CTEis a coefficient of linear thermal expansion of the glass above a glass transition temperature T, the CTEis a coefficient of linear thermal expansion of the glass in a temperature range from 20° C. to 300° C., and the Tis a temperature at which the glass has a viscosity of 10dPa·s.
