A vehicle powertrain features a first electrical machine with first power electronics, a second electrical machine with second power electronics, and a transmission connected between the electrical machines and an output. To execute a powershift, the first and second electrical machines are operated so that one of the electrical machines is used as the main drive machine, and the other electrical machine is used for tractive force support during the execution of the powershift. When a temperature of at least one of the electrical machines and/or of at least one of the power electronics exceeds a temperature limit value, and/or when a target electric current flowing through at least one of the electrical machines and/or at least one of the power electronics exceeds a current limit value, a powershift is adapted to limit heating of the respective electrical machine and/or the respective power electronics.

A vehicle powertrain has a first electrical machine with first power electronics and a second electrical machine with second power electronics. In symmetrical operation, the first and second electrical machines are loaded or operated with the same torque and with the same torque gradient. In a non-symmetrical operation, the first and second electrical machines are loaded or operated with a different torque and/or with a different torque gradient. If, after non-symmetrical operation the symmetrical operation is resumed, a subsequent modified operation can be used in which the electrical machine that was loaded or operated in non-symmetrical operation with higher torque and/or a higher torque gradient, is loaded or operated with a limited torque and/or with a limited torque gradient or is switched off or decoupled for a defined period of time, thereby at least partially compensating for a different aging of the electrical machines due to non-symmetrical operation.

A transmission having a main transmission and a splitter group, and including at least four spur gear planes formed with a countershaft and at least five shifting elements for engaging at least six gears between the transmission input and output shafts. When shifting between gears with the highest and the second-highest gear ratios, a shift occurs in the shifting elements associated with the splitter group but not in the shifting elements associated with the main transmission, whereas when shifting between gears with the lowest and second-lowest gear ratios, a shift occurs in the shifting elements associated with the main transmission but not in the shifting elements associated with the splitter group. An electric machine can be connected by a gearset, and depending on its shift position, the gearset acts as a pre-transmission ratio for the electric machine or as a superimposition transmission.

The first element can couple either of the transmission input shafts via the shift elements. The second element is connected to the transmission output shaft and can couple a gear plane of the partial transmissions via the shift elements. A method of operating a vehicle having a hybrid drive, a transmission with shift elements, a drive output with a brake, a main transmission with input shafts, an output shaft and planetary gear sets (PG, PG). The main transmission has five gear planes. One shift element can connect a gear plane to an element of gear set (PG) adjoining the main transmission. Another shift element couples a further element of gear set (PG) either to the output shaft or a housing. An electric machine is permanently connected to an element of gear set (PG). If, while driving with a transmission gear engaged, the drive output brake is engaged for a full brake application, a shift element of the transmission is first relieved by the electric machine and/or a brake assigned to one of the input shafts and then subsequently disengaged to decouple the combustion engine from the drive output.

A dual clutch transmission including two sub-transmissions, each having an input shaft arranged on an input axis, an intermediate shaft and an output shaft which is the drive output of both sub-transmissions. The intermediate shaft can be connected to the input and output shafts. The transmission also has wheel planes, shifting elements, two clutches and countershafts. A first countershaft can be connected to transmission elements of all the wheel planes on the countershaft axis and a second countershaft is connected to transmission elements of at least two wheel planes. The shifting elements include at least one single shifting element, but most of the shifting elements are double shifting elements. Two shifting elements are arranged on the input axis between two wheel planes, whose transmission elements are connected to the second countershaft. Opposite sides of the intermediate shaft are respectively connected to a range group and the output shaft.

A method for compensation of a support torque at a combustion engine and transmission which provide an overlay of combustion engine and electric machine. The combustion engine, the electric machine, and a transmission gearset are connected with each other via a planetary gearset, which is positioned in front of a downstream transmission gearset. The invention concerns a transmission gearset of a three-shaft transmission, each with a transmission input shaft for the electric machine, and for the combustion engine, and an output shaft. For the connection or disconnection of the transmission input shaft of the electric machine while driving, the electric machine is used for the synchronization of the input shaft of the electric machine, and the created support torque at the combustion engine is determined, based on this support torque, to match a combustion engine torque and thus to compensate the support torque.

A method of operating dual-clutch transmission for a vehicle which has two partial transmissions, each partial transmission having an input shaft arranged on an input shaft axis. An output shaft is arranged on the input shaft axis or a parallel countershaft axis. An intermediate gear system on the countershaft axis. At least one input shaft can be connected to the drive output shaft, as a direct drive, and only one countershaft is arranged on the countershaft axis and supports only fixed gears. One of the gears is a direct gear so that, when the direct gear is engaged, all the shifting elements, for coupling the intermediate gear system via the gear planes into the force flow, can be disengaged. Each gear plane can be coupled by a shifting element arranged on the input shaft axis to a shaft, and the gear next-lower than the direct gear is a coupling gear.

A method for operating a drive train of a hybrid vehicle with a hybrid drive comprising at least an electric machine and an internal combustion engine, wherein an automated manual transmission is connected between the internal combustion engine and an output, wherein the electric machine is coupled via a friction clutch to a shaft of the automated manual transmission.
